## Alltagssituationen als Gesprächsanlass nutzen (S. 22)

Davin und seine Mutter entsorgen heute gemeinsam das Altglas. Es ist toll, wie es klirrt und knallt, enn die Gläser und Flaschen in die Altglascontainer fallen. Das macht Davin offensichtlich grossen Spass und motiviert ihn, fleissig mitzuhelfen. Diese alltägliche Situation bietet viel Gesprächsstoff: Welches Glas gehört wohin? Was passiert, wenn die Flaschen in den Container fallen? Wie sieht es in einem Altglascontainer aus? Die Mutter unterstützt Davin auf dieser ganz alltäglichen Entdeckungsreise: Sie schaut genau, was Davin interessiert, geht darauf ein und begleitet das gemeinsame Tun verbal. Sie kommentiert die Handlungen, erklärt Sachverhalte, fragt Davin nach seiner Meinung, stellt ihm weiterführende Fragen und weist auf interessante Dinge hin. So fördert sie Davins Sprachentwicklung altersgerecht, ohne ihn dabei zu überfordern. Davin ist aufmerksam und mit Interesse dabei. Mit allen Sinnen entdeckt er seine Alltagswelt und profitiert auch sprachlich durch die Unterstützung seiner Mutter.

## Gegenstände, Tätigkeiten und Eigenschaften benennen (S. 28)

Die Mutter benennt die verschiedenen Gegenstände und deren Eigenschaften („Das ist ein weisses Glas.“) sowie die gemeinsamen Tätigkeiten („Das weisse Glas kommt hier hinein.“). Dabei bettet sie die Wörter stets in einen Kontext ein. So kann Davin seinen Wortschatz nicht nur erweitern, sondern auch mit Gesehenem und Erlebtem verbinden. Davin erlebt seine Umwelt mit allen Sinnen. Er sieht und fühlt das Glas, hebt die Flaschen und Gläser hoch und nimmt wahr, wie schwer diese sind. Er riecht die verschiedenen Gläser und hört, wie es klingt, wenn sie in den Altglascontainer fallen.

## Zeichen und Lautschrift erkunden (S. 31 f.)

Während des gemeinsamen Entsorgens des Altglases lenkt die Mutter Davins Aufmerksamkeit auf die Symbole auf dem Container. Was könnten diese bedeuten? Und was ist hier eigentlich abgebildet? Davins Blick ist jetzt ganz auf die Abbildungen gerichtet. Er entdeckt eine Birne. „Genau, eine Glühbirne“, präzisiert die Mutter und erläutert, dass man hier keine Glühbirnen und keine kaputten Tassen hineinwerfen darf. Das zeigen die roten Streifen an.

In Bildern und Symbolen wird Bedeutung sichtbar. Im Alltag bieten sich unzählige Möglichkeiten, solche Zeichen zu „lesen“. Dies ist eine wichtige Grundlage für den späteren Schriftgebrauch. Mit der Unterstützung von Erwachsenen können Kinder die Bedeutung von Symbolen entschlüsseln und deren Aussagen mit der Zeit selbständig „lesen“ und verstehen.

## Using everyday situations as opportunities to engage children in conversation (p. 20)
Today, Davin and his mother are disposing of waste glass together. It is wonderful to hear how the glass and bottles clink and smash when they fall into the bottle bank. Davin’s enjoyment is evident, which motivates him to really get involved in the task at hand. This everyday situation provides the basis for a lot of conversation: Which glass belongs where? What happens when the bottles fall into the containers? What does the inside of a bottle bank look like? Davin’s mother assists him during this common daily voyage of discovery: she looks closely to see what Davin is interested in, responds to it and talks about their joint task. She comments on what they are doing, explains things, asks Davin for his opinion, asks him further questions and points out interesting things. By doing so, she facilitates Davin’s language development in an age-appropriate manner without expecting too much from him in the process. Davin is attentive and shows interest in what they are doing. He discovers the world around him by using all his senses and also benefits from his mother’s support in linguistic terms. 

## Name objects, activities, and characteristics (p. 24)
Davin’s mother names the various objects (“That’s white glass”) as well as their joint tasks (“White glass goes in there”). In the process, she always embeds her words in a context. This enables Davin not only to extend his vocabulary but also to connect it with what he has seen and experienced. Davin lives and breathes the world around him with all his senses. He looks at the glass and feels it, lifts the bottles and different types of glass up high, and notices how heavy they are. He smells the different types of glass and listens to how they sound when they fall into the bottle bank.

## Discovering symbols and the alphabetic print system (p. 26)
While they are disposing of the waste glass together, Davin’s mother draws his attention to the symbols on the container. What could they mean? And what is actually depicted here? Davin’s gaze is now fully focused on the images. He discovers a light bulb. “Right, a light bulb,” his mother elaborates, and she explains that you are not allowed to throw in light bulbs or broken cups here. This is indicated by the red stripes.

The meaning is clear in the pictures and symbols. There are innumerable opportunities to “read” such symbols during daily life. This is an important basis for the later use of written language. With the support of adults, children can decipher the meaning of symbols and “read” and understand what they say independently over time. 


## Utiliser les situations du quotidien pour engager des conversations (p. 22)
Aujourd’hui Davin et sa maman vont jeter le verre. C’est super comme ça tinte et ça éclate lorsque les bocaux et les bouteilles tombent dans le conteneur à verre usagé. Davin semble s’amuser beaucoup et est motivé à participer. Cette situation du quotidien offre de nombreux sujets de conversation : Quel verre va où ? Que se passe-t-il lorsque les bouteilles tombent dans le conteneur ? À quoi ressemble l’intérieur du conteneur à verre usagé ? La mère accompagne Davin dans cette exploration du quotidien : elle regarde attentivement ce qui intéresse Davin, y répond et met des paroles sur ce qu'ils sont en train de faire. Elle commente leurs gestes, explique les faits, demande à Davin son avis, lui pose des questions et attire son attention sur des choses intéressantes. Elle favorise ainsi le développement linguistique de Davin de manière appropriée à son âge sans qu’il se sente dépassé. Davin est attentif et montre de l’intérêt. Il découvre son univers avec tous ses sens et profite du soutien de sa maman, y compris sur le plan linguistique. 

## Énumérer des objets, des activités ou des caractéristiques (p. 28)
La maman nomme les différents objets et leurs particularités (« Celui-ci est blanc. ») et décrit leurs gestes (« Il va là-dedans. »). Elle place toujours les mots dans leur contexte. Davin peut non seulement étendre son vocabulaire, mais il est aussi en mesure d’associer les paroles avec ce qu’il vit. Davin explore son environnement avec tous ses sens. Il voit et touche le verre, lève les bouteilles et les bocaux et prend conscience de leur poids. Il sent les odeurs des différents récipients en verre et entend le son qu’ils font quand ils tombent dans le conteneur à verre usagé.

## Étudier les symboles et la transcription phonétique (p. 31 et suivantes)
Alors qu’ils jettent ensemble le verre usagé, la maman attire l’attention de Davin sur les symboles présents sur le conteneur. Qu’est-ce que cela pourrait bien signifier ? Et que voit-on sur le conteneur ? Davin est totalement concentré sur les images. Il découvre une lumière. « Oui, une ampoule », précise la maman, et explique qu’on n’a pas le droit de jeter d’ampoules ni de tasses cassées dans le conteneur. C’est ce qu’indiquent les traits rouges.

Grâce aux images et aux symboles, la signification apparaît clairement. Le quotidien offre d’innombrables possibilités de « lire » ce type de symboles. Cela constitue une base essentielle pour le futur apprentissage de la lecture. Grâce au soutien des adultes, les enfants peuvent décrypter la signification des symboles et seront en mesure, avec le temps, de les « lire » et comprendre eux-mêmes. 


## Utilizzare le situazioni di vita quotidiana come occasione di dialogo (pag. 22)
Oggi Davin e sua madre smaltiscono insieme il vetro usato. È fantastico sentire il rumore che fanno i vasetti e le bottiglie quando s’infrangono nel cassonetto del vetro. Davin è chiaramente molto divertito e motivato ad aiutare diligentemente sua mamma. Questa situazione quotidiana offre molti spunti di dialogo: dove vanno buttati i vari tipi di vetro? Cosa succede quando le bottiglie cadono nel cassonetto? Com’è fatto un cassonetto del vetro? La mamma aiuta Davin nel viaggio alla scoperta di questa attività quotidiana: guarda attentamente cosa attira la sua attenzione, se ne interessa e accompagna con una descrizione verbale ciò che fanno insieme. Commenta le azioni, fornisce spiegazioni, chiede a Davin che ne pensa, gli pone ulteriori domande e gli fa notare cose interessanti. In questo modo stimola lo sviluppo linguistico di Davin in maniera consona alla sua età, senza pretendere troppo. Davin è attento e partecipa con interesse. Scopre con tutti i sensi il mondo che lo circonda, traendo beneficio anche dal punto di vista linguistico grazie al supporto della sua mamma. 

## Nominare oggetti, attività e caratteristiche (pag. 28)
La madre nomina i diversi oggetti, le loro caratteristiche (“Questo è vetro bianco”) e le attività svolte insieme (“Il vetro bianco va qui dentro”). Così facendo colloca sempre le parole in un contesto. In questo modo Davin non solo può ampliare il suo vocabolario, ma può anche collegarlo a ciò che vede e vive. Davin sperimenta con tutti i sensi il mondo che lo circonda. Vede e tocca il vetro, solleva le bottiglie e i vasetti e ne percepisce il peso. Annusa i vari vasetti e ascolta il rumore che fanno quando cadono nel cassonetto della raccolta differenziata.

## Scoprire il significato dei simboli e la pronuncia (pag. 31 segg.)
Mentre gettano il vetro usato presso il punto di raccolta, la mamma di Davin attira la sua attenzione sui simboli riportati sul cassonetto. Cosa potrebbero significare? E cos’è disegnato qui? Lo sguardo di Davin si concentra ora totalmente sulle immagini. Individua una lampada. “Una lampadina, esatto”, precisa la mamma spiegandogli che qui non si devono buttare lampadine e tazze rotte come indicato dalle strisce rosse. 

Grazie alle immagini e ai simboli il significato diventa chiaro. Nella vita di tutti i giorni capita spesso di “leggere” questi simboli. È una base importante per il successivo utilizzo della scrittura. Con il sostegno degli adulti i bambini sono in grado di decifrare il significato dei simboli e di “leggere” e comprendere autonomamente il relativo messaggio con il tempo.
