## Geteilte Aufmerksamkeit herstellen und aufrecht erhalten (S. 23)

Auf dem gemeinsamen Ausflug gibt es viel zu beobachten und zu entdecken. Mutter und Sohn machen sich gegenseitig auf ihre Beobachtungen aufmerksam. Dieses Herstellen von geteilter Aufmerksamkeit ist eine Grundvoraussetzung, damit beide vom Gleichen reden. Dazu nutzen sie verschiedene (Kommunikations)Mittel, die sie auch kombinieren. So sagt die Mutter zum Beispiel: „Davin, schau mal da unten. Siehst du die Pferde?“. Zusätzlich blickt sie in die Richtung der Pferde und zeigt mit ihrem Finger darauf. Auch Davin weist auf seine Entdeckungen hin – mit Gesten und Worten („Dieses hier“). Ob das Schild, die Hundeleine oder der Haargummi: Die Mutter geht auf Davins Hinweise ein und teilt ihm ihre Beobachtungen und Gedanken dazu mit. Dabei fasst sie in Worte, was sichtbar ist, versprachlicht aber auch Dinge, die im Hier und Jetzt nicht wahrnehmbar sind („Vielleicht kommen sie wieder hier vorbei, um zu sehen, ob die Sachen noch hier sind.“). Das Aufrechterhalten der Aufmerksamkeit in solchen Gesprächen ist v.a. für jüngere Kinder noch sehr anspruchsvoll. Davins Mutter unterstützt ihren Sohn dabei, indem sie immer wieder Pausen macht und die Gespräche durch ihre Gesten begleitet.

## Gemeinsam längere Gesprächsfäden spinnen (S. 23)

Davin und seine Mutter bleiben über mehrere Gesprächszüge hinweg an verschiedenen Themen dran und entwickeln sie weiter. So zeigt Davin etwa auf ein Schild am Wegrand und sagt: „Aufpassen“. Er hat die Erfahrung gemacht, dass Schilder oftmals vor etwas warnen. Seine Mutter erklärt ihm, was auf dem Schild steht, und fasst zusammen, dass Pferde auf dem Weg nur gehen und nicht rennen dürfen. Diesen Faden spinnt Davin weiter: „Nicht galoppieren“, sagt er und zeigt damit gleich auch seinen grossen Wortschatz. Die Mutter wiederholt seine Worte und macht damit deutlich, dass sie ihn verstanden hat. Dann entwickelt sie das Thema weiter, indem sie ihrem Sohn erklärt, warum die Pferde hier nicht galoppieren dürfen („Wenn die Pferde hier galoppieren, dann geht der Weg mit der Zeit kaputt.“). Auch Davin teilt seiner Mutter mit, dass er verstanden hat („Weg kaputt“) und führt das Thema aus, indem er auf die Beschaffenheit des Weges hinweist („Steine“). Da entdeckt Davin eine Hundeleine, die zum Ausgangspunkt eines neuen Gesprächsfadens wird.

Auf ihrem Ausflug spinnen die beiden noch viele weitere Gesprächsfäden. Davin kann so erleben, dass seine Initiativen erkannt und aufgegriffen werden. Zudem bekommt er viele Gelegenheiten, verschiedene Themen über mehrere Gesprächszüge hinweg im Fokus zu behalten und weiterzuentwickeln.

## Kinder in Interaktionen durch Impulse anregen (S. 27)

Immer wieder regt die Mutter Davin durch Impulse an, seine Beiträge zu erweitern. So ergänzt sie seine Aussagen, wenn sie beispielsweise ausführt, dass jemand einen Haargummi verloren hat. Ausserdem vertieft sie seine Themen, indem sie neue Aspekte anspricht („Manchmal haben aber auch Männer lange Haare, gell. Und einen Haargummi drin.“). Schliesslich knüpft sie Bezüge zu eigenen Erfahrungen, wenn sie etwa davon berichtet, dass Davin sie schon oft beobachtet habe, wenn sie einen Pferdeschwanz gebunden habe. Auch regt die Mutter Davin dazu an, selbst eine aktive Rolle als Gesprächspartner zu übernehmen, indem sie beispielsweise fragt: „Wie macht man einen Pferdeschwanz? Weisst du das?“

## Establishing and maintaining shared attention (p. 20)
There is a lot to look at and discover on the joint excursion. Mother and son draw each other’s attention to what they see. Joint attention must be established to ensure that both of them speak about the same thing. To do so, they use different (communication) material, which they also combine. For example, Davin’s mother says: “Davin, look down there. Do you see the horses?” She also looks in the direction of the horses and points to them with her finger. Davin also points to his own discoveries – with gestures and words (“This here”). Whether it is the sign, the dog leash or the hair band, his mother picks up on what Davin says and communicates her observations and thoughts to him. In the process, she summarises in words what she sees, but also puts things that are not perceivable in the here and now into words (“Perhaps they will come this way again to see whether the items are still here”). It is particularly challenging for younger children to maintain their attention in such situations. Davin’s mother supports her son by taking regular breaks and accompanying the conversations with gestures. 

## Jointly spinning sustained conversational threads (p. 21)
Davin and his mother remain on different topics and develop them further with several dialogue features. Thus, Davin points to the sign on the wayside and says: “Be careful”. From experience, he has learnt that signs often warn you about something. His mother explains what is on the sign and sums up by saying that horses may walk, but not run, on the path. Davin develops this thread further: “Not gallop,” he says, showing his large vocabulary in the process. His mother repeats his words and in doing so makes it clear that she has understood him. Then she develops the topic further by explaining to her son why horses are not allowed to gallop here (“If horses gallop here, then the path will be destroyed over time”). Davin also informs his mother than he has understood her (“Path broken”) and continues the topic by talking about the characteristics of the path (“stones”). There Davin discovers a dog leash, which is the starting point for a new discussion thread.

During their excursion, the two of them develop many other discussion threads. In this way, Davin can see that his initiatives are recognised and picked up by his mother. He also gets many opportunities to focus on and develop different topics over several discussion threads. 

## Providing stimulating input in conversational interactions (p. 23)
Davin’s mother continues to encourage him to expand on his contributions by using stimuli. For example, she adds to what he says when she realises that someone has lost a hair band. She also delves further into the topics that he raises by addressing new aspects (“However, sometimes men also have long hair. And they wear a hair band.”). Finally, she makes references to her own experiences when she tells Davin that he has often seen her put her hair into a ponytail. Davin also encourages his mother to take on an active role as a discussion partner by asking, for example,  “How do you make a ponytail? Do you know how?” 


## Créer et maintenir l’attention partagée (p. 23)
Durant l’excursion, il y a beaucoup à observer et à découvrir. Mère et fils se font mutuellement part de leurs observations. Obtenir cette attention partagée est essentiel pour s'assurer qu'ils parlent bien de la même chose. Pour ce faire, ils utilisent différents moyens de communication, qu’ils combinent. Par exemple, la maman dit : « Davin, regarde là en bas. Tu vois les chevaux ? ». En même temps, elle regarde en direction des chevaux et les montre du doigt. Davin aussi fait part de ses découvertes par les mots et les gestes (« Là. »). Qu’il s’agisse du panneau, de la laisse ou de l’élastique : la maman réagit aux indications de Davin et lui fait part de ses observations et ses pensées. Elle verbalise ce qu’elle voit, mais aussi ce qui n’est pas visible au moment présent (« Peut-être que cette personne reviendra pour voir si ses affaires sont toujours là. »). Le maintien de l’attention dans ce genre de conversation est un exercice très difficile pour les enfants, en particulier à un si jeune âge. La maman de Davin aide son fils en faisant des pauses et en accompagnant ses paroles par des gestes. 

## Tisser ensemble des longs fils de discussion (p. 23)
Davin et sa mère tissent plusieurs fils de discussion autour de thèmes variés et les développent. Par exemple, Davin pointe du doigt un panneau sur le bord du chemin : « Attention ». Il a fait l’expérience que les panneaux font, en général, office d’avertissement. Sa maman lui explique ce que dit le panneau en résumant que les chevaux n’ont pas le droit de galoper sur le chemin, mais seulement marcher au pas. Davin poursuit ce fil de discussion : « Pas galoper », dit-il, témoignant ainsi de la richesse de son vocabulaire. La mère répète ses mots et lui montre ainsi qu’elle l’a compris. Puis, elle développe le thème en expliquant à son fils pourquoi les chevaux n’ont pas le droit de galoper (« Tu sais, s’ils galopent, ils finissent par endommager le chemin. »). Davin aussi montre à sa maman qu’il l’a comprise (« Chemin cassé. ») et poursuit la discussion en montrant l’état du chemin (« Cailloux. »). Davin découvre alors une laisse de chien, ce qui mène à un nouveau fil de discussion.

Durant leur excursion, les deux tissent d’autres fils de discussion. De cette façon, Davin constate que ses initiatives sont écoutées et reprises. De plus, il obtient ainsi de nombreuses opportunités de rester concentré sur plusieurs thèmes et fils de discussion à la fois et de les développer. 

## Inciter les interactions des enfants par stimulation (p. 27)
La maman stimule sans cesse Davin et l'incite ainsi à poursuivre la discussion. Elle complète alors ses affirmations, par exemple en précisant que quelqu’un a perdu son élastique. De plus, elle approfondit le thème en apportant un nouvel aspect (« Parfois, les hommes aussi ont les cheveux longs. Et portent un élastique. »). Enfin, elle établit des liens avec son propre vécu lorsqu’elle évoque que Davin l’a déjà souvent vue faire une queue de cheval. Elle l’encourage à prendre part activement à la discussion en lui demandant : « Comment on fait une queue de cheval ? Tu sais ça ? ». 


## Creare e mantenere l’attenzione condivisa (pag. 23)
Durante la gita assieme c’è molto da osservare e da scoprire. Madre e figlio richiamano reciprocamente la loro attenzione su ciò che vedono. Stabilire l’attenzione condivisa è un presupposto fondamentale per poter parlare della stessa cosa. A tale scopo utilizzano e combinano diversi mezzi (comunicativi). La mamma dice per esempio: “Davin, guarda un po’ là. Vedi i cavalli?”. Inoltre rivolge il suo sguardo verso i cavalli e li indica col dito. Anche Davin fa notare le sue scoperte – con i gesti e le parole (“Questo qui”). Che si tratti del cartello, del guinzaglio o dell’elastico per capelli, la mamma manifesta interesse per ciò che Davin le mostra e condivide con lui le sue osservazioni e i suoi pensieri. In tale ottica esprime a parole ciò che vede, facendo però riferimento anche a cose che non sono percepibili qui e ora (“Forse questa persona ritornerà qui a cercarli.”). Il mantenimento dell’attenzione durante questo tipo di conversazioni è ancora molto impegnativo soprattutto per i bimbi più piccoli. La mamma di Davin supporta suo figlio facendo frequenti pause e accompagnando la conversazione con i gesti. 

## Intrecciare insieme sequenze di dialogo più lunghe (pag. 23)
Durante la conversazione Davin e la sua mamma toccano diversi temi e li sviluppano ulteriormente. Ad esempio, Davin indica qualcosa su un cartello sul bordo del sentiero e dice: “Attenzione”. Per esperienza sa che spesso i cartelli segnalano qualche pericolo. Sua mamma gli mostra il cartello e gli spiega che su quel sentiero i cavalli possono solo andare a passo d’uomo e non correre. Davin riprende il concetto sviluppandolo: “Non si galoppa”, dice esibendo al contempo il suo ampio vocabolario. La mamma ripete le sue parole dimostrandogli chiaramente di aver capito. Sviluppa quindi ulteriormente il tema spiegando a suo figlio il perché qui i cavalli non possano galoppare (“Se i cavalli galoppano qui, con il tempo il sentiero si rovina.”). Anche Davin comunica a sua mamma che ha capito (“Il sentiero rovina”) e porta avanti il tema indicando la conformazione del sentiero (“Pietre”). Poi Davin vede un guinzaglio per cani che funge da spunto per un nuovo filone di conversazione.

Durante la gita i due trovano molti altri spunti di conversazione. In questo modo Davin capisce che le sue iniziative vengono riconosciute e prese in considerazione. Inoltre ha l’opportunità di rimanere concentrato e sviluppare diversi temi con vari strumenti linguistici. 

## Stimolare i bambini a interagire dando loro degli input (pag. 27)
La mamma stimola ripetutamente Davin offrendogli input per ampliare i suoi contributi. Completa le sue frasi, specificando ad esempio che qualcuno ha perso un elastico per capelli. Inoltre approfondisce i suoi temi introducendo nuovi aspetti (“Ma ci sono anche uomini con i capelli lunghi. E usano elastici per capelli.”). Infine aggiunge riferimenti a esperienze personali, ricordando per esempio a Davin che l’ha già vista tante volte farsi la coda di cavallo. La mamma induce poi Davin ad assumere un ruolo attivo da interlocutore quando ad esempio gli chiede: “Come si fa la coda di cavallo? Lo sai?”
