## Forschen und Entdecken

Kleine Kinder sind Forscher und Entdecker, so auch Irem. Sie hat die Magnete am Kühlschrank entdeckt und will nun damit experimentieren. Irem hat viele Fragen: Wo haften die Magnete und wo nicht? Haften sie auf beiden Seiten oder doch nur auf der schwarzen? Und bleibt vielleicht auch der Löffel am Kühlschrank kleben? Was passiert, wenn man Magnete von den Papieren darunter wegnimmt? Haften die Magnete auch, wenn man sie von unten hinaufwirft? Was passiert, wenn man Magnete fallen lässt? Gehen sie kaputt? Wie kann man die vielen Magnete auf den verschiedenen Papieren verteilen? Auf all diese Fragen sucht Irem Antworten und diese erhält sie am besten, wenn sie es selbst ausprobiert. So lernt Irem anhand vieler kleiner Experimente einiges über Magnetismus und seinen praktischen Nutzen.

Die Mutter erkennt die Lerngelegenheit für ihre Tochter und unterstützt diesen Bildungsprozess. Sie geht auf Irems Interesse ein und begibt sich gemeinsam mit ihr auf Entdeckungsreise. Sie bringt Zeit und Geduld auf, sodass Irem in Ruhe und mit Ausdauer ihrer Neugierde nachgehen kann. Sie gibt kleine Tipps, wo und wie die Magnete haften bleiben, ohne Irem jedoch zu belehren oder auf ihre Fragen fertige Antworten zu liefern. Denn Kinder lernen am besten, wenn sie ausprobieren und ihre eigenen Erfahrungen machen können. Auch hebt die Mutter Irem hoch, sodass sie die begehrten Magnete erreichen kann. Damit Irem auch selbständig an die Magnete herankommen kann, könnte die Mutter ihr beim nächsten Mal einen Stuhl holen oder die Magnete nach unten verschieben. Heute scheint es Irem wichtig zu sein, die Entdeckungen auf Mutters Arm zu machen.

## Gemeinschaftliches Lernen

Irem erkundet mit Unterstützung der Mutter die Magnete am Kühlschrank. Das gemeinsame Experimentieren und der Austausch miteinander sind bedeutend für Irems Bildungsprozesse. Nur in sozialen Interaktionen können sich Kinder ein mehrdimensionales und ganzheitliches Bild von der Welt machen. Gemeinsam mit der Mutter „ko-konstruiert“ Irem ihr Wissen über die Magnete. Zusammen gehen sie Irems Fragen nach. Müsste Irem die Antworten alleine ergründen, würde die Suche wahrscheinlich schnell in einer Sackgasse enden. Doch mit Hilfe der Mutter findet Irem nicht nur Antworten, sondern kommt auch auf neue Fragen. Dadurch wird sie von der Mutter ermuntert, Neues auszuprobieren, ihrer Neugierde nachzugehen, dranzubleiben und sich darüber auszutauschen. Obwohl die Mutter wahrscheinlich auf die meisten Fragen bereits eine Antwort weiss, hält sie sich zurück und lässt sich offen und interessiert auf das Experimentieren ein.

## Emotionen im Lernprozess

Irem ist sichtlich begeistert vom Hantieren mit den Magneten: Sie lacht und ist voller Tatendrang. Diese Begeisterung ist von grosser Bedeutung. Denn Lernen, das Freude macht, ist bei kleinen Kindern nachhaltig und spornt zu nächsten Schritten an. Irem wird von ihrer Neugierde angetrieben und hat die Möglichkeit, ihrem Interesse nachzugehen. Dies ist die beste Voraussetzung, um das Wissen über diese spannenden Dinge aufzubauen, anzuwenden und zu erweitern. Der angeborene Lerntrieb der Kinder ist der Motor ihrer eigenen Bildungsbiografie. Wenn Kinder etwas erreicht haben, Erfolge erzielen und Antworten finden, empfinden sie Freude und erleben sich selbst als aktiv und wirksam.

## Research and discovery

Young children are explorers and discoverers, and Irem is no exception. She has discovered the magnets on the refrigerator and wants to experiment with them. She has so many questions: where do the magnets work and where not? Do both sides of the magnet stick or just the black side? Will a spoon remain stuck to the refrigerator, too? What happens when you take away a magnet holding papers? Do the magnets also stick when you throw them at the refrigerator from below? What happens when you let the magnets fall? Do they break? How can you distribute the many magnets on the different pieces of paper? Irem seeks answers to all of her questions, and the best way for her to find them is if she tries things out herself. Through her many little experiments, Irem learns some things about the attractive force of magnets and its practical uses.

Irem’s mother sees that this is a learning opportunity for her daughter and supports her in her learning. She responds to Irem’s interest and joins her in her voyage of discovery. She is patient and gives Irem ample time to explore the things that she is curious about with persistence. She offers little suggestions as to where and how the magnets remain stuck, without lecturing Irem or supplying Irem with ready-made answers to her questions. Children learn best through their own explorations and manipulations and their own experiences. Irem’s mother also holds Irem up so that she can reach the magnets that she wants. Irem could reach the magnets by herself if her mother gave her a chair next time or if she placed the magnets lower down. Today it appears important to Irem to make her discoveries while on her mother’s arm.

## Learning together

Irem is discovering the magnets on the refrigerator with her mother’s support. Experimenting together and mutual exchange are important for Irem‘s learning processes. Children can only form a multidimensional and holistic view of the world around them in social interaction. Together with her mother, Irem “co-constructs” her knowledge about magnets. The two of them seek answers to Irem’s questions together.If Irem had to scout out the answers all by herself, her search would probably soon come to a dead end. With her mother’s help, however, Irem not only finds answers but comes up with new questions. In this way she is encouraged by her mother to try out new things, follow up on her curiosity and interests, show persistence and exchange experiences. Even though her mother probably knows the answers to most of Irem’s questions, she resists the natural urge to answer and engages in the experimenting with openness and interest.

## Emotions in the learning process

Handling the magnets is obviously a lot of fun for Irem: she laughs and is full of energy. This enthusiasm is very important: if their explorations bring pleasure or success, children retain their learning and want to learn more. Irem is driven by her natural curiosity and is being given the opportunity to follow her interest. This is the best starting point for gaining, using and expanding knowledge about these interesting things. Children‘s natural desire to learn is the engine that drives their own learning biographies. When children achieve something, experience success and find answers, they gain a high level of satisfaction and see themselves as active and effective.

## Rechercher et découvrir

Les jeunes enfants sont des chercheurs et des découvreurs. Irem ne fait pas exception à la règle. Elle a découvert les magnets sur le réfrigérateur et veut maintenant en faire l’expérimentation. Elle se pose beaucoup de questions : à quels endroits restent-ils accrochés, et à quels endroits tombent-ils? Peuvent-ils adhérer des deux côté ou seulement sur la face noire? Et est-ce que la cuillère pourrait aussi coller à la surface du réfrigérateur? Que se passe-t-il si on enlève des magnets qui étaient placés sur du papier? Est-ce que les magnets tiennent aussi si on les lance d’en bas? Que se passe-t-il si on les fait tomber? Se cassent-ils? Comment les répartir parmi tous les papiers? Elle cherche des réponses à toutes ces questions et se dit que le plus facile est encore d’essayer d’y répondre, soi-même. Elle apprend ainsi, au moyen de plusieurs petites expériences, certaines choses sur le magnétisme et son utilité pratique.

La mère a vu qu’il y avait là l’occasion pour sa fille d’apprendre quelque chose et elle soutient ce processus. Elle réagit à l’intérêt que manifeste Irem et l’accompagne dans son voyage de découverte. Elle y consacre du temps et de la patience, afin qu’Irem puisse s’adonner à sa curiosité dans le calme et avec persévérance. Elle donne quelques petites astuces sur les endroits où les magnets peuvent adhérer et sur le moyen de les y aider, sans toutefois tout dire à Irem ni lui fournir des réponses toutes faites. Car les enfants apprennent mieux lorsqu’ils peuvent essayer et faire ainsi leur propre expérience. La mère prend également Irem dans ses bras pour lui permettre d’atteindre les magnets désirés. Pour qu’Irem puisse le faire de manière autonome la prochaine fois, elle pourrait disposer une chaise devant le réfrigérateur ou placer les magnets plus bas. Mais aujourd’hui, il semble important pour Irem de faire ses découvertes en étant dans les bras de sa mère.

## Apprendre ensemble

Irem explore avec l’aide de sa mère les magnets sur le réfrigérateur. L’expérience commune et l’échange sont essentiels dans les processus de formation qui se jouent en Irem. Seules les interactions sociales permettent aux enfants d’acquérir une image du monde à la fois multidimensionnelle et globale. Avec sa mère, Irem «co-construit» son savoir sur les magnets. La mère et la fille passent en revue les questions que se pose Irem. Si celle-ci devait trouver les réponses toute seule, sa recherche aboutirait sans doute rapidement à une impasse. Mais avec l’aide de sa mère, Irem ne trouve pas seulement des réponses, mais elle se pose également de nouvelles questions. Elle est ainsi encouragée par sa mère à essayer des choses nouvelles, à laisser libre cours à sa curiosité, à rester attentive et à lui faire part de ses découvertes. La mère connait vraisemblablement la réponse à la plupart des questions d’Irem, mais elle reste sur la réserve et se laisse prendre au jeu avec intérêt.

## Les émotions dans le processus d’apprentissage

Irem est visiblement très intéressée par la manipulation des magnets: elle rit et elle est pleine d’ardeur. Cet enthousiasme est très important. Car lorsque les jeunes enfants ont du plaisir à apprendre, ils se souviennent durablement de ce qu’ils ont appris, et cela les incite à accomplir de nouveaux progrès. Irem est poussée par sa curiosité et elle a la possibilité de satisfaire son intérêt. Ce sont là les conditions les plus favorables pour constituer, appliquer et étendre le savoir sur ces choses passionnantes. Le désir d’apprendre des enfants est inné. C’est le moteur de leur propre biographie de formation. Lorsqu’ils ont atteint quelque chose, réussi une tâche ou trouvé des réponses, ils éprouvent de la joie et se vivent eux-mêmes comme des êtres actifs pouvant avoir une influence sur les choses.

## Ricercare e scoprire

I bambini piccoli sono ricercatori e scopritori, così anche Irem. Lei ha scoperto la calamita sul frigorifero e ora ha l’intenzione di sperimentare. Irem ha molte domande: dove rimangono attaccate le calamite e dove non tengono? Tengono da ambedue i lati, oppure solo sulla parte nera? Anche il cucchiaio rimane appiccicato al frigorifero? Cosa succede quando si tolgono le calamite dai pezzi di carta che stanno sotto? Le calamite tengono anche quando le lanciamo dal basso? Cosa succede quando si lasciano cadere le calamite? Si rompono? Come possiamo distribuire le diverse calamite sui vari pezzi di carta? Irem cerca una risposta a tutte queste domande, il modo migliore per trovarle è quello di provare lei stessa. Sulla base di molte piccole esperienze Irem impara alcune cose sul magnetismo e sui suoi usi pratici.

La madre riconosce che per la figlia si sta presentando un’opportunità di apprendimento. Entra nel merito degli interessi di Irem e l’accompagna nell’itinerario della scoperta. Manifesta calma e pazienza, permettendo alla bambina di dare seguito alle sue curiosità, con calma e con perseveranza. Ogni tanto trasmette qualche piccolo consiglio su come e dove le calamite rimangono attaccate, senza tuttavia insegnare e senza dare risposte esaustive. I bambini imparano meglio se possono provare loro stessi. La madre solleva la bambina affinché possa raggiungere le calamite. Nell’intento di consentire a Irem di raggiungere le calamite, la prossima volta, la mamma potrebbe portare una sedia, oppure spostarle verso il basso. Oggi, per Irem, sembra importante poter fare le scoperte stando in braccio alla mamma.

## Apprendimento collettivo

Con l’aiuto della madre Irem esplora le calamite sul frigorifero. La sperimentazione in comune e lo scambio tra loro sono importanti per la formazione di Irem. E’ solo attraverso le interazioni sociali che i bambini riescono a costruire un’immagine multidimensionale e d’insieme del mondo. Irem, insieme alla madre, co-costruisce il suo sapere sulla calamita. Ambedue approfondiscono le domande di Irem. Qualora Irem dovesse rispondere da sola agli interrogativi, rischierebbe di finire presto in un vicolo cieco. Irem, con l’aiuto della mamma, non ottiene solo risposte, ma riesce anche a porre nuove domande. E’ attraverso l’incoraggiamento da parte della madre che la bambina, non solo riesce ad avere delle risposte, ma anche a dare un seguito alle proprie curiosità, a persistere e a interagire. Anche quando la madre conosce in anticipo le risposte, attende, rimane aperta e disponibile agli esiti della sperimentazione.

## Emozioni nei processi di apprendimento

La manipolazione delle calamite entusiasma visibilmente Irem: ride ed esprime voglia di agire. Questo entusiasmo ha un grande significato. Nei bambini piccoli ciò che fa piacere rimane nel tempo e spinge a compiere ulteriori passi. Irem è spinta dalla sua curiosità e, allo stesso tempo, ha la possibilità di soddisfare i suoi interessi. Questa è la principale premessa per costruire, applicare, e ampliare il sapere su cose affascinanti. La spinta innata dei bambini verso l’apprendimento è il motore della loro biografia formativa. I bambini, quando trovano risposte e hanno successo, provano piacere e si sentono attivi ed efficaci.
