## Reime, Verse und Lieder pflegen (S. 31)
Carla, ihre grosse Schwester Mina und ihr Papa geniessen die gemeinsame Zwischenmahlzeit auf dem Balkon. Das laute Trommeln der Schwester bereitet Carla sichtlich Spass: mit einem breiten Lachen nimmt sie die Bewegungen auf. Das erinnert den Vater an einen Sprechgesang, den er sogleich anstimmt. Mina kennt das Lied auch und stimmt mit ein. Nun ist Carla ganz umgeben von den singenden Stimmen und den trommelnden Händen. Sie schaut dem Treiben aufmerksam und fasziniert zu. Gleich noch einmal! Jetzt macht Carla schon begeistert selber mit und klatscht mit den Händen auf den Tisch. Sie zeigt ihre Freude und signalisiert deutlich, dass sie das Spiel mit Worten und Händen wieder und wieder spielen möchte. Der Sprechgesang ist rhythmisch aufgebaut, bleibt konstant und wird oft wiederholt. Das macht Carla einerseits grossen Spass und hilft ihr andererseits, sich aktiv zu beteiligen und einzelne Bewegungen mitzumachen. Wenn solche gebundenen Formen der Sprache wie Verse, Reime oder Lieder wiederholt eingesetzt werden, können sich Kinder zunehmend in anspruchsvolleren Rollen beteiligen: vom blossen Zuhören zum Mitmachen einzelner Bewegungen über das selbstständige Sprechen und Singen, bis hin zur kreativen Variation. «Wir können ja immer lauter werden», schlägt Mina vor. Das kommt auch bei Carla gut an. 

## Das Verstehen ins Zentrum stellen und mit allen Mitteln unterstützen (S. 23)
Die zehnmonatige Carla kann sich noch nicht mit Worten äussern. Dennoch zeigt sie deutlich ihre Interessen und Bedürfnisse mit allen ihr zur Verfügung stehenden Mitteln: Sie signalisiert mit ihren Blicken, mit ihrem Lachen, mit der Stimme und mit ihrem Jauchzen, dass sie das Spiel mit der Stimme und den Händen begeistert. Aber auch mit ihrem Körper und mit ihrer Gestik kommuniziert sie. Dann zum Beispiel, wenn sie selbst auch auf den Tisch klatscht oder mit ihrem Kopf zustimmend nickt. Besonders deutlich wird das, als Carla den Finger des Vaters in ihre Hand nimmt, ihn wieder auf den Tisch legt und dann mit den eigenen Händen auf den Tisch klatscht. Carlas Vater versteht die Aufforderung seiner Tochter und fasst sie in Worte („Willst du noch einmal?“). Er zeigt Carla, dass er sich für das interessiert, was sie mitteilen möchte, und vergewissert sich, ob er sie richtig verstanden hat. Sowohl der Vater wie auch seine ältere Tochter verdeutlichen ihre Aussagen mit Mimik, Gestik und der gesamten Körperhaltung. So helfen sie Carla, das Gesagte zu verstehen. 

## Interaktionen rahmen und steuern (S. 26 f.)
Carla sitzt sicher in der Mitte zwischen dem Vater und der grossen Schwester und fühlt sich sichtlich wohl und zugehörig. Dies ist eine wichtige Voraussetzung, um sich einzubringen. Der Vater beginnt das gemeinsame Spiel („Kennst du das?“), hält es aufrecht („Sollen wir es noch einmal singen?“; „Willst du noch einmal?“), begleitet es sprachlich („Das war jetzt laut.“) und schliesst es schliesslich ab („Jetzt essen wir nochmals ein bisschen.“). Diese Rahmung hilft Carla, dass sie sich orientieren und am gemeinsamen Tun beteiligen kann.

## Reciting rhymes and verses and singing songs (p. 26)
Carla, her older sister Mina and her Daddy are enjoying a family snack on the balcony. Carla is clearly enjoying her sister’s loud drumming: she picks up the movement with a big smile. This reminds the girls’ father of a chant, which he immediately starts singing. Mina knows the song too and follows along. Now Carla is completely surrounded by their singing voices and drumming hands. She watches what they are doing attentively with absolutely fascination. Again! Now Carla is getting involved enthusiastically and clapping on the table with her hands. She shows her enjoyment and signals clearly that she would like to play the game with words and hands again and again. The chant is rhythmically structured, remains consistent and is repeated several times. Carla is having a lot of fun, and it also helps her to take part actively and make individual movements. When bonded forms of the language such as verse, rhymes or songs are used repetitively, children can take part in more demanding roles: from simply listening to taking part with specific movements, to speaking and singing independently, through to creative variation. “We could do it louder and louder,” suggests Mina. Carla also thinks that is a good idea. 

## Focusing on understanding and supporting it with all means (p. 20)
Ten-month-old Carla cannot yet express herself in words. Nevertheless, she clearly shows her interest and needs with every means available to her: she signals with her gaze, with her laugh, with her voice and with her cheers that she is excited about the voice-and-hand game. However, she also communicates with her body and with her gestures. For example, she claps on the table herself or signals her agreement with a nod of her head. When Carla takes her father’s finger in her hand, lays it on the table and then claps on the table with her own hands, it becomes particularly clear. Carla’s father understands her request and summarises it in words (“Do you want to do it again?”). He shows Carla that he is interested in what she wants to communicate and ascertains whether he has understood her correctly. Both Carla’s father and her older sister clarify their utterances with facial expressions, gestures and their overall posture. By doing so, they help Carla to understand what they are saying. 

## Framing and steering interactions (p. 23 f.)
Carla sits securely between her father and big sister and clearly feels comfortable and part of the interaction. This is an important requirement to be able to participate. Her father begins the joint game (“Do you know that?”), keeps it going (“Should we sing it again”; “Do you want to sing it one more time?”), accompanies it with language (“That was loud”) and finally concludes with (“Now, let’s eat a bit more”). This framing helps Carla to orient herself and take part in the joint activity.


## Réciter des rimes, des poésies et des chansons (p. 31)
Carla, sa grande sœur Mina et leur papa savourent une collation sur le balcon. Le tambourinement fort de Mina semble amuser Carla : avec un grand sourire sur le visage, elle répète les mouvements. Cela rappelle à leur papa une comptine, qu’il récite aussitôt. Mina la connaît aussi et l’accompagne. Carla est entourée de voix qui chantent et de doigts qui tambourinent sur la table. Fascinée, elle observe attentivement ce qui se passe. Encore une fois ! Carla participe à son tour et tape avec enthousiasme sur la table avec ses mains. Elle montre que cela lui plaît et indique clairement qu’elle veut rejouer à ce jeu de mots et de mains, encore et encore. La comptine est basée sur un rythme constant et répétitif. Cela amuse beaucoup Carla et l’aide à participer activement en copiant certains mouvements. Lorsque des structures linguistiques liées comme les rimes, les poésies et les chansons sont récitées régulièrement, les enfants peuvent participer de manière de plus en plus poussée : ils évoluent de la simple écoute à la répétition de quelques mouvements en passant par la parole et le chant, et en allant jusqu’à la création de variations. « On peut commencer doucement », suggère Mina. Carla apprécie l’idée. 

## Placer la compréhension au centre et l’encourager par tous les moyens (p. 23)
Carla a dix mois et ne peut pas encore s’exprimer verbalement. Elle montre toutefois ses intérêts et ses besoins à l’aide des moyens qu'elle a à disposition. Elle montre par son regard, son rire, sa voix et ses petits cris de joie qu’elle aime beaucoup ce jeu avec la voix et les mains. Elle communique également avec son corps et ses gestes, par exemple en tapant elle-même sur la table avec ses mains et en hochant la tête. Cela devient encore plus évident lorsque Carla agrippe le doigt de son père, le repose sur la table et tape avec ses propres mains sur la table. Son papa comprend la demande de sa fille et la verbalise (« Encore ? »). Il montre à Carla qu’il s’intéresse à ce qu’elle veut dire et s’assure de l’avoir bien comprise. Le père et sa fille aînée accompagnent leurs affirmations par leur mimique, leur gestuelle et leur posture. Ils aident Carla à comprendre. 

## Encadrer et diriger les interactions (p. 26 et suivantes)
Carla est assise en sécurité entre son père et sa grande sœur et se sent parfaitement à l’aise et acceptée. C’est une condition indispensable pour participer. Le père commence le jeu (« Tu connais ça ? »), le poursuit (« Encore une fois ? »), le commente (« C’était fort, ça. ») et le conclut (« Maintenant on mange un peu. »). Ce cadre aide Carla à s’orienter et à participer aux activités communes.

## Insegnare rime, versi e canzoni (pag. 31)
Carla, la sua sorella maggiore Mina e il loro papà fanno uno spuntino insieme in terrazzo. La sorella tamburella con le dita e Carla è visibilmente divertita: reagisce con grandi sorrisi a ogni movimento. Questo gioco ricorda al papà una canzoncina che inizia subito a intonare. Anche Mina conosce la canzone e si unisce al papà. Carla è totalmente circondata dal canto e dalle dita che tamburellano. Guarda attenta e affascinata i movimenti. Ancora! Ora Carla partecipa entusiasta e batte le mani sul tavolo. Mostra la sua gioia e segnala chiaramente che vuole che il gioco di cantare e tamburellare venga ripetuto più e più volte. La canzoncina ha una struttura ritmica, resta costante e viene ripetuta più volte. Da un lato diverte molto Carla e, dall’altro, la aiuta a partecipare attivamente con alcuni movimenti. Ripetere più volte questo tipo di forme controllate della lingua come versi, rime o canzoni permette ai bambini di assumere ruoli sempre più complessi: dall’ascolto passivo alla partecipazione con alcuni movimenti al cantare e parlare autonomamente, fino alla variazione creativa. «Possiamo aumentare sempre di più il volume della voce», propone Mina, trovando anche il consenso di Carla. 

## Porre al centro la comprensione e supportarla con tutti i mezzi (pag. 23)
Carla ha solo dieci mesi e non sa ancora esprimersi a parole. Tuttavia mostra chiaramente i suoi interessi e le sue esigenze con tutti i mezzi che ha a disposizione: segnala con lo sguardo, con le risate, con la voce e con i suoi gridolini che la canzoncina e il batti-manine la entusiasmano. Ma comunica anche con il corpo e con i gesti. Per esempio quando batte lei stessa le manine sul tavolo o annuisce con la testa. Ciò è particolarmente evidente quando afferra il dito del padre con la mano e lo mette sul tavolo e poi batte le manine sulla tavola. Il papà di Carla capisce l’esortazione di sua figlia e la esprime a parole (“Ancora?”). Mostra a Carla che è interessato a quello che lei vuole comunicare e si assicura di aver capito bene. Sia il papà che la sorella maggiore sottolineano le proprie asserzioni con la mimica, i gesti e tutta la postura del corpo. In questo modo aiutano Carla a comprendere ciò che viene detto. 

## Inquadrare e guidare le interazioni (pag. 26 segg.)
Carla sta seduta tranquilla tra il papà e la sorella maggiore e si sente visibilmente bene e partecipe. Questo è un importante presupposto per partecipare attivamente alla conversazione. Il papà inizia il gioco collettivo (“Lo conosci?”), lo prosegue (“Dobbiamo cantare di nuovo?”; “Ancora?”), lo accompagna verbalmente (“Adesso era un po’ forte.”) e gli pone fine (“Adesso mangiamo ancora un po’.”). Questa cornice aiuta Carla a orientarsi e a partecipare all’attività comune.
