## Ganzheitliches Lernen

Kinder lernen nicht fragmentiert, sondern ganzheitlich. Dies bedeutet, dass Kinder beim Lernen alle ihre Sinne benutzen. Zalán hört das Lied, das seine Mutter singt, und singt selbst mit. Unter seinen Füssen spürt er die wackelige Drehschale und nutzt intensiv seinen Gleichgewichtssinn. Mit seinem ganzen Körper versucht er, die Balance zu halten. In seinen Händen spürt er den Ball – die Form und das Material. Seine Augen verfolgen den Flug des Balls. Die Augen koordinieren sich gleichzeitig mit den Armen, welche den Ball fangen und wieder werfen. Auch der kleine Kristóf, der daneben auf dem Boden liegt, nutzt seine Sinne zum Erkunden. Bei ihm ist es das kleine Auto, das im Mittelpunkt seiner Aufmerksamkeit steht. Kristóf erfühlt das Material mit den Händen und mit seinem Mund, während seine Augen gespannt beobachten, wie das Fahrzeug hin und her rollt. Kleine Kinder lernen nicht nur mit ihrem Intellekt, sondern gleichzeitig auch mit ihrem Körper, ihren Emotionen und mit ihren Sinnen – Kinder lernen mit „Kopf, Herz und Hand”. Alles ist bedeutsam für die Bildungsprozesse von Kindern.

Ganzheitliches Lernen bedeutet aber auch, dass Kinder von einer einzigen Beschäftigung in mehrfacher Hinsicht profitieren können. In dieser Situation werden sowohl bei Zalán wie auch bei Kristóf ganz verschiedene Bereiche angeregt: Koordinations- und Reaktionsfähigkeit, Gleichgewichtssinn, Körperspannung, Musik- und Rhythmusgefühl, Sprache und soziale Fähigkeiten. Das bedeutet, dass bei Kleinkindern nicht einzelne Entwicklungsbereiche isoliert trainiert werden können. Kinder entwickeln ihre Kompetenzen in den verschiedenen Entwicklungsbereichen nebenbei in Alltags- und Spielsituationen.

## Lernen ist spielen und spielen ist lernen

Spielen, singen, lachen und lernen, alles kommt zusammen. Hier wird deutlich: Lernen ist mit Spass verbunden. Zalán wirft und fängt den Ball, steht in der wackeligen Drehschale, stellt sich auf ein Bein und singt dabei – gar keine leichte Aufgabe, das alles gleichzeitig zu meistern. Doch diese selbst gewählte Herausforderung verbindet Zalán nicht mit Anstrengung, sondern mit Vergnügen. Die Mutter weiss, dass spielen für Kinder wichtig ist. Sie nimmt sich ausreichend Zeit, um mit ihren Söhnen zu spielen und zu singen, und hat selbst sichtlich Freude dabei. Denn günstige Lernvoraussetzungen haben Kleinkinder insbesondere dann, wenn für sie etwas von Bedeutung ist, wenn sie sich für Aktivitäten und Themen begeistern und interessieren können.

## Herausforderungen

Damit eine Situation zu einer Lernsituation wird, muss sie das Kind herausfordern, das heisst ein Stück über das, was es bereits sicher kann, hinausgehen. Oft suchen sich Kinder selbst die für sie passenden Herausforderungen, genau wie Zalán es tut. In der Drehschale zu stehen, ohne das Gleichgewicht zu verlieren, ist gar nicht so einfach. Doch das scheint Zalán nicht genug zu sein. Auf einem Bein stehen und gleichzeitig mit der Mutter Ballwerfen und -fangen spielen und dazu noch singen, das ist eine echte Herausforderung. Zalán probiert aus, wie weit er gehen kann, was er schafft und was nicht. Immer noch ein bisschen schwieriger muss es sein. Gerade so viel, dass er es schaffen kann. Die Mutter lässt ihm einerseits Raum, seine Ideen auszuprobieren, andererseits drängt sie ihn aber nicht, die Ziele noch höher zu stecken. So ist die Situation für Zalán weder langweilig noch frustrierend. Die beste Voraussetzung für eine Lerngelegenheit.

In einem Moment wird es dennoch zu viel: Den Ball hat Zalán zwar gefangen, dafür aber das Gleichgewicht verloren. Schlimm ist es nicht. Lachend steht Zalán auf und probiert es weiter. Unermüdlich hält er seiner selbst geschaffenen Herausforderung stand und bekommt durch die Geduld und das liebevolle Lächeln der Mutter Unterstützung.

## Passende Unterstützung und Begleitung

Kristóf erkundet entspannt das kleine, rote Auto, während die Mutter und der ältere Bruder daneben mit dem Ball spielen. In der Nähe seiner Mama und seines Bruders fühlt er sich wohl. Mit leichten Berührungen gibt die Mutter Kristóf zu verstehen: „Ich bin da!” Sie schaut immer wieder in Kristófs Gesicht und vergewissert sich so, dass es dem Jüngsten gut geht. Auch hilft sie, wenn das Auto zu weit wegrollt, und holt es für Kristóf in erreichbare Nähe. Umgekehrt stösst sie das Auto an, damit Kristóf wieder dessen Bewegung beobachten kann. Als Zaláns Ball vom eigentlichen Ziel abweicht, hält die Mutter schützend ihre Hände über das kleine Köpfchen von Kristóf. Diese kleinen Gesten im richtigen Moment führen dazu, dass sich Kristóf sicher fühlt und seiner Erkundungslust nachgehen kann. Als sich Kristóf doch nicht mehr wohl fühlt, vielleicht, weil er müde ist, und anfängt zu weinen, erkennt die Mutter die Signale und reagiert sogleich, indem sie ihn hochnimmt.

Der Mutter gelingt es, in dieser Situation beiden Söhne ihre Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken. Während sie mit Zalán spielt und singt, achtet sie fürsorglich auf Kristóf.

## Lieder und Reime

Zalán und seine Mutter singen gemeinsam ein Lied. Das Singen von Liedern ist in vielerlei Hinsicht bedeutsam für die kindlichen Bildungsprozesse.

Lieder haben einen Rhythmus und eine Melodie und sind oftmals in Reimen verfasst. Dies unterstützt den Spracherwerb: Das Rhythmische an Liedern und Versen festigt das Sprachgefühl und unterstützt den Erwerb von Grammatik und Wortschatz. Das Singen des ungarischen Liedes hilft Zalán zudem beim Erweitern und Festigen seiner Erstsprache, der Sprache seiner Familie. Dies ist eine zentrale Grundlage, damit er gut und rasch bald auch Deutsch lernen wird.

Musik – sei es in Liedern, mit Instrumenten oder in Sing- und Tanzspielen – ist auch eine Kommunikationsform, die bereits kleine Kinder sehr lieben. Indem die Mutter mit ihren Kindern singt, eröffnet sie ihnen die Möglichkeit, eine weitere Sprache kennenzulernen, um Gedanken und Gefühle auszudrücken und mitzuteilen.

Nicht zuletzt werden mit Musik auch Zugehörigkeit, Wohlbefinden und emotionale Zuwendung übermittelt. Das gemeinsame Singen von Mutter und Sohn fördert die emotionale Bindung zwischen den beiden. Es unterstreicht ausserdem das Vergnügen am gemeinsamen Spiel.

## Holistic learning

Children’s learning is not fragmented but holistic. This means that children use all their senses when learning. Zalán hears the song that his mother sings and sings along with her. Under his feet he feels the upside-down bosu ball he is standing in wobble and uses his sense of balance intensively. Using his whole body, he tries to keep his balance. In his hands he feels the ball, its form and material. His eyes follow the ball’s flight. His eyes coordinate with his arms and hands, which catch the ball and throw it up again. Even little Kristóf, who is lying nearby on the floor, is using his senses to explore. The focus of his attention is a small car. Kristóf feels the material with his hands and mouth, and his eyes watch with interest as the car rolls back and forth. Young children do not learn with their intellect alone but also with their body, their emotions and their senses—children learn with “head, heart and hand”. All are important for a child’s learning processes.

But holistic learning also means that children can profit in several ways from one and the same activity. In this situation Zalán and also Kristóf are learning in many different domains: coordination and reaction ability, sense of balance, body tension, feel for music and rhythm, language and social skills. This means that with young children, individual developmental domains cannot be trained in isolation. Children develop their skills in the different developmental domains in everyday and play situations.

## Play is learning, and learning is play

Playing, singing, laughing and learning—it all comes together. Here it is apparent that learning is associated with pleasure. Zalán throws and catches the ball, stands on the wobbling bosu ball, and balanceson one leg, while singing at the same time—it is no easy task to manage all of that at once. But Zalán associates this challenge of his own choosing with enjoyment and not with exertion. His mother knows that play is important for children. She takes ample time to play and sing with her sons, which she obviously also enjoys. Conditions are especially favorable for young children to learn when it is important to them and when they can be enthusiastic about and interested in the activities and topics.

## Challenges

For a situation to be a learning situation, it must challenge the child—that is, it must be slightly difficult for them. Children themselves often choose challenges that are appropriate for them, just as Zalán is doing here. Standing on the bosu ball without losing his balance is not very easy but it is not enough of a challenge for Zalán, apparently. It is more of a challenge for himto standon one leg while playing catch with his mother and singing at the same time. Zalán explores how far he can go, what he can do successfully and what not. It always has to be slightly more difficult. Just difficult enough that he can manage the task successfully. His mother allows him to try out his ideas, and she does not push him to set even more challenging goals. This makes the situation neither boring nor frustrating for Zalán—the best condition for learning.

There is a moment when it is too much: Zalán catches the ball but loses his balance. But it is not so bad. He laughs as he gets up and tries again. He works tirelessly at this challenge of his own choosing, supported by his mother’s patience and loving smile.

## Appropriate support

Kristóf is relaxed as he explores the little red car while his mother and brother are playing catch. In close physical proximity to his mother and with his brother nearby he has a feeling of well-being. With her light touches,his mother signals her presence. She frequently looks at Kristóf in the face to make sure that he is alright. She helps him when the little car rolls too far away and places it where he can reach it. She also pushes the car away so that Kristóf can watch it move again. When Zalán‘s ball goes off target, she holds her hands protectively over Kristóf’s little head. These small gestures at the right moment give Kristóf the feeling of security that he needs to be able to pursue his desire for exploration. When he no longer feels good, perhaps because he is tired, and starts to cry, his mother understands his signals and responds immediately by picking him up.

In this situation the boys’ mother succeeds in giving both sons her attention. As she plays and sings with Zalán, she watches out for Kristóf with a great deal of care.

## Songs and rhymes

Zalán and his mother sing a song together. Singing songs is an effective way to help children learn in many different domains.

Songs have a rhythm and a melody, and the lyrics are often composed in rhymes. This supports language acquisition: the rhythms in songs and verses consolidate a feel for language and support the acquisition of grammar and vocabulary. Singing the Hungarian song also helps Zalán expand and strengthen his first language, his family’s language. This is an important basisthat will also help him learn German well and quickly.

Music—whether in songs, with instruments or in singing and dancing—is also a form of communication that even young children greatly enjoy. This mother singing with her children is giving them the opportunity to learn another language and to express and communicate thoughts and feelings.

Music also conveys belonging, emotional well-being and love and care. Singing together fosters the emotional attachment between mother and son. It also underlines their enjoyment of playing together.

## Un apprentissage global

Les enfants n’apprennent pas de manière fragmentée, mais globale. Cela signifie qu’ils utilisent tous leurs sens. Zalán écoute la chanson que chante sa mère, et il chante avec elle. Sous ses pieds, il sent la demi-sphère instable et recourt intensément à son sens de l’équilibre. Il essaie de garder l’équilibre avec tout son corps. Il sent le ballon dans ses mains, à la fois la forme et la matière. Ses yeux suivent les trajectoires du ballon. Ils se coordonnent avec ses bras, qui attrapent le ballon et le renvoient. Le petit Kristóf aussi, qui est assis par terre, utilise ses sens pour explorer. C’est la petite voiture qui est au centre de son attention. Il sent la matière avec ses mains et sa bouche, alors que ses yeux observent avec attention la voiture se déplacer dans différentes directions. Les jeunes enfants n’apprennent pas uniquement avec leur intellect, mais en même temps avec leur corps, leurs émotions et tous leurs sens. Ils apprennent avec la tête, avec le cœur et avec les mains. Tout est important dans les processus de formation des enfants.

La globalité de l’apprentissage signifie aussi que les enfants peuvent tirer profit d’une seule activité sur différents plans. Ici, tant chez Zalán que chez Kristóf, différents niveaux sont sollicités : le sens de la coordination et la réactivité, le sens de l’équilibre, la tension des muscles, le sens de la musique et du rythme, le langage et les compétences sociales. Cela signifie qu’il n’est pas possible de cibler chez les jeunes enfants un domaine isolé. Les enfants développent leurs compétences dans les différents domaines de développement, en parallèle, dans les situations du quotidien et de jeu.

## Apprendre, c’est jouer. Jouer, c’est apprendre.

Jouer, chanter, rire et apprendre, tout cela a lieu en même temps. Une chose devient claire ici: l’apprentissage est lié au plaisir. Zalán lance et attrape le ballon, debout sur la demi-sphère tournante, il se tient sur un pied et se met à chanter – pas facile de maîtriser tout cela en même temps! Mais Zalán n’associe pas ce défi qu’il s’est fixé lui-même à un effort, mais à du plaisir. La mère sait qu’il est important pour les enfants de jouer. Elle prend suffisamment de temps pour jouer et chanter avec ses fils, et elle en éprouve elle-même de la joie. Car les jeunes enfants sont dans des conditions d’autant plus favorables à l’apprentissage qu’ils se trouvent face à quelque chose d’important pour eux et qu’ils peuvent s’intéresser et s’enthousiasmer pour des activités et des thèmes.

## Défis

Pour qu’une situation soit propice à l’apprentissage, l’enfant doit se trouver face à un défi, c’est-à-dire être confronté à quelque chose qui dépasse un peu ce qu’il est déjà capable de faire avec certitude. Souvent, les enfants recherchent eux-mêmes les défis qui leur conviennent, exactement comme le fait Zalán. Se tenir sur la demi-sphère sans perdre l’équilibre n’est pas si simple. Mais cela ne semble pas suffire à Zalán. Se tenir sur un pied tout en jouant au ballon avec sa mère, et par-dessus le marché, chanter, voilà un véritable défi! Zalán essaie pour voir jusqu’où il peut aller, ce qu’il arrive à faire et à quel moment il n’y arrive plus. Il faut que ce soit à chaque fois un tout petit peu plus difficile. Juste assez pour qu’il puisse le faire. Sa mère lui laisse la liberté d’essayer ses idées, mais elle ne le contraint pas à fixer des objectifs encore plus ambitieux. De la sorte, la situation n’est pour Zalán ni ennuyeuse ni frustrante. Toutes les conditions sont réunies pour l’apprentissage.

Il arrivera un moment où cela sera quand même trop: Zalán a bien rattrapé le ballon, mais cela lui a fait perdre l’équilibre. Rien de bien grave! Zalán se relève en riant et recommence. Infatigablement, il fait face au défi qu’il s’est créé lui-même, soutenu par la patience et le sourire de sa mère.

## Un accompagnement et un soutien adaptés

Kristóf explore passionnément la petite voiture rouge, pendant que sa mère et son frère aîné jouent au ballon à côté. A côté de sa maman et de son frère, il se sent bien. Par de petits gestes, sa mère lui fait comprendre qu’elle est là. Elle observe régulièrement son visage pour s’assurer qu’il va bien. Elle l’aide aussi quand la voiture roule trop loin, et la remet à un endroit accessible pour lui. A l’inverse, elle remet la voiture en mouvement, pour que Kristóf puisse l’observer. Quand le ballon de Zalán s’éloigne un peu trop de sa trajectoire, elle met ses mains protectrices devant la petite tête de Kristóf. Ces petits gestes effectués au bon moment permettent à Kristóf de se sentir en sécurité et de continuer à s’adonner à son exploration. Quand Kristóf ne se sent plus bien, peut-être parce qu’il est fatigué, et qu’il commence à pleurer, la mère reconnaît le signal et y réagit tout de suite en le prenant dans ses bras.

Elle parvient dans cette situation à manifester de l’attention à ses deux fils. Tout en jouant et en chantant avec Zalán, elle continue de veiller sur Kristóf.

## Chansons et comptines

Zalán et sa mère chantent une chanson ensemble. Chanter une chanson est, à de nombreux égards, important pour les processus de formation des enfants.

Les chansons ont un rythme et une mélodie, et elles sont souvent composées de rimes. Cela favorise l’acquisition du langage: Le rythme des chansons et comptines consolide le sens de la langue et aide à acquérir la grammaire et le vocabulaire. Chanter cette chanson hongroise aide en outre Zalán à enrichir et à consolider sa première langue, c’est-à-dire la langue de sa famille. C’est une base fondamentale sur laquelle il pourra construire par la suite pour apprendre efficacement et rapidement l’allemand.

La musique, que ce soit dans des chansons, avec des instruments, ou encore dans des jeux de chansons et de danse, est aussi une forme de communication que les enfants apprécient beaucoup dès leur plus jeune âge. En chantant avec ses enfants, la mère leur donne la possibilité d’apprendre une autre langue qui leur servira à exprimer et à communiquer leur pensée et leurs sentiments.

Enfin, la musique permet aussi de transmettre des sentiments d’appartenance, du bien-être et une affection émotionnelle. En chantant ensemble, la mère et son fils renforcent le lien émotionnel qui existe entre eux. Ils soulignent en outre le plaisir qui nait du jeu.

## Apprendimento olistico

I bambini non imparano in modo frammentato, bensì in modo olistico. Ciò significa che, nell’apprendimento, i bambini fanno uso di tutti i loro sensi. I suoi occhi seguono il volo della palla. I suoi occhi si coordinano con le braccia per ricevere e rilanciare la palla. Anche il piccolo Kristòf, sdraiato accanto sul pavimento, sfrutta i suoi sensi per esplorare. Nel suo caso è la piccola automobile che è la centro della sua attenzione.

Kristòf „sente” il materiale con le mani e con la sua bocca, mentre segue con attenzione il movimento di andata e di ritorno del veicolo. I bambini piccoli non imparano solo con l’intelletto, ma anche, e al tempo stesso, con il loro corpo, con le loro emozioni e con i loro sensi – i bambini imparano con „la testa, con il cuore e con la mano”. Per la formazione dei bambini tutto è significativo.

Imparare in modo olistico significa anche che i bambini da un’attività possono estrapolare molte informazioni. In questa situazione, sia Zalàn che Kristòf, vengono sollecitati in ambiti molto diversi tra loro: coordinamento, capacità di reazione, senso dell’equilibrio, tensione corporea, senso della musica e del ritmo. Ciò significa che non è possibile allenare in modo isolato singoli aspetti dello sviluppo. I bambini sviluppano in modo collaterale, in vari ambiti dello sviluppo, le loro competenze nella quotidianità e in situazioni di gioco.

## Imparare è giocare e giocare è imparare

Giocare, cantare e imparare, tutto l’insieme converge. Qui si chiarisce che imparare è connesso con piacere. Zalàn lancia e prende la palla, sta in piedi sulla scodella girevole, si mette su una gamba e al tempo stesso canta – per nulla un compito facile riuscire a padroneggiare tutto. Ciononostante non collega questa sfida con lo sforzo, ma con il divertimento. La mamma sa che per i bambini è importante giocare. La mamma si prende il tempo sufficiente per giocare e cantare con i propri figli, ed è visibile il suo piacere. Per i bambini piccoli le migliori situazioni di apprendimento sono quelle che, ai loro occhi, sono significative e quando possono entusiasmarsi per certe tematiche e per certe attività.

## Sollecitazioni

Per fare in modo che una situazione diventi una situazione di apprendimento, essa deve sollecitare il bambino, vale a dire andare un po’ oltre ciò che il bambino è in grado di fare. Sovente sono i bambini stessi che ricercano le sollecitazioni che rispondono alle loro esigenze, esattamente come lo fa Zalàn. Restare in piedi sulla scodella, senza perdere l’equilibrio, non è così semplice. Ma per Zalàn non sembra essere abbastanza.

Stare in piedi su una gamba e, al tempo stesso, giocare con la mamma al lancio e alla ripresa della palla e, in aggiunta, cantare è una vera sfida. Zalàn prova a vedere fino a che punto riesce ad andare, cosa riesce e non riesce a fare. La prova deve essere sempre un po’ più difficile. Quel tanto che gli consente di farcela. Da un lato, la mamma gli concede lo spazio per sperimentare le sue idee, da un altro lato, non lo costringe a raggiungere obiettivi più elevati. Così facendo la situazione per Zalàn non è ne’ noiosa, ne’ frustrante. Ci sono tutte le premesse per una situazione di apprendimento.

Tuttavia, a un certo momento, diventa troppo: Zalàn ha preso la palla, ma ha poi perso l’equilibrio. Non è grave. Zalàn si rialza ridendo e continua a provare. Instancabile continua a sfidare la situazione che lui stesso ha creato con il sostegno amorevole e paziente della mamma.

## Adeguate forme di accompagnamento e di sostegno

Kristòf esplora tranquillamente la piccola auto rossa, mentre la mamma gioca con il fratello maggiore con la palla li accanto. Attraverso brevi contatti la mamma fa capire a Kristòf che „sono qui!”. La mamma cerca regolarmente il contatto con il viso di Kristòf per capire se sta bene. Quando l’auto si sposta troppo lontano la va a prendere e la riporta in vicinanza di Kristòf. Ogni tanto tocca l’auto per permettere a Kristòf di osservarne il movimento.

Quando la palla di Zalàn devia dalla traiettoria, la mamma protegge con le proprie mani la testa di Kristòf. Questi piccoli gesti, manifestati al momento giusto, fanno in modo che Kristòf si senta sicuro e possa dare seguito al suo desiderio di esplorare. Nel momento in cui Kristòf non si sente più a suo agio, forse perchè troppo stanco, e inizia a piangere, la mamma riconosce il segnale e reagisce subito prendendolo in braccio.

La mamma riesce in questo modo a rivolgere la sua attenzione ai due figli. Mentre gioca e canta con Zalàn, con premura, presta attenzione a Kristòf.

## Canzoni e ritornelli

Zalàn e la sua mamma cantano insieme una canzone. Cantare canzoni è, da molti punti di vista, significativo per la formazione del bambino.

Le canzoni hanno un ritmo e una melodia e sovente comprendono dei ritornelli. Tutto ciò supporta l’apprendimento della lingua: la dimensione ritmica delle canzoni rafforza il senso linguistico, sostiene l’acquisizione della grammatica e amplia il capitale di parole. Il canto di canzoni ungheresi aiuta Zalàn a estendere e a consolidare la sua lingua d’origine, la lingua della sua famiglia. Tutto ciò è una base per un apprendimento rapido e corretto del tedesco.

I bambini piccoli gradiscono molto le forme comunicative con la musica, in cui prendono forma strumenti, canti e giochi di danza. Nel momento in cui la mamma canta con i propri bambini, dà loro la possibilità di imparare una nuova lingua e di esprimere pensieri e sentimenti.

Non da ultimo, attraverso la musica, si trasmettono sentimenti di appartenenza, di benessere e di partecipazione emotiva. Il cantare insieme, di mamma e figlio, rafforza il legame affettivo tra i due. Oltre a ciò, rafforza il piacere del giocare insieme.
