## Den Gebrauch verschiedener Sprachen gut lesbar gestalten (S. 34 f.)
Jan hat den Vormittag in der Spielgruppe verbracht. Da lernt er im Zusammensein mit den anderen Kindern und der Spielgruppenleiterin die Umgebungssprache Deutsch. Jans Mutter ist bereits in der Schweiz aufgewachsen und beherrscht neben ihrer Erstsprache Albanisch auch Schweizerdeutsch. Mit ihren Söhnen spricht sie konsequent Albanisch – jene Sprache, die ihr am nächsten ist. Albanisch kann die Spielgruppenleiterin nicht. Deshalb unterhalten sich die drei bei der Verabschiedung nach dem Spielgruppenvormittag auf Deutsch. Wieder zu zweit unterwegs, geht das Gespräch zwischen Mutter und Sohn auf Albanisch weiter. 

Jan kann den Gebrauch der verschiedenen Sprachen klar zuordnen: Zuhause in der Familie spricht er Albanisch und in der Spielgruppe Deutsch. Im Zusammensein mit Personen, die nur Deutsch oder nur Albanisch sprechen, passt die Familie den Sprachgebrauch entsprechend an. Dass die beiden Sprachen mit den unterschiedlichen Situationen und Personen verknüpft sind, hilft Jan dabei, die verschiedenen sprachlichen Formen zu erkennen und je nach Sprachumgebung die eine oder andere Sprache einzusetzen. Zentral dabei ist, dass die verschiedenen Sprachen stabil (an Personen und/oder Situationen festgemacht) und damit für das Kind klar verständlich gebraucht werden. Dies erleichtert den Erwerb mehrerer Sprachen enorm.

## Geteilte Aufmerksamkeit herstellen und aufrecht erhalten (S. 23)
Auf dem Heimweg gibt es viel zu beobachten und zu besprechen. Die Mutter macht Jan auf spannende Dinge aufmerksam – da ist etwa der grosse Kran, der für den Hausbau benötigt wird, oder der Lastwagen, der Beton bringt. Mit solchen verbalen Hinweisen ermöglicht sie Jan, seine Aufmerksamkeit auch auf diese Dinge zu richten und schafft damit eine Grundlage, um ins Gespräch zu kommen. Jan hört interessiert zu und teilt eigene Beobachtungen mit („Er hat den Baum dort kaputt gemacht“; „Der Kran holt etwas.“). So wird der Heimweg zu einer wertvollen Lerngelegenheit – auch sprachlich.

## Alltagssituationen als Gesprächsanlässe nutzen (S. 22)
Die beiden nehmen sich Zeit – zum Zuschauen und Austauschen („Lass uns hingehen und schauen, was sie machen.“). Die Gucklöcher in der Absperrung der Baustelle laden dazu ein, stehen zu bleiben und das Geschehen zu verfolgen. Die Mutter fasst in Worte, was sie sieht („Sie haben dort Stahl gelagert.“), fügt neue Informationen hinzu („Zuerst haben sie das alte Haus abgerissen und jetzt bauen sie ein neues Haus mit dem grossen Kran.“; „Männer können ihn nicht tragen, deshalb muss er mit dem Kran gehoben werden.“) und fordert Jan mit Fragen dazu auf, sich mitzuteilen („Siehst du etwas?“). Diese sprachliche Ausgestaltung einer ganz alltäglichen Situation bereitet nicht nur Freude, sondern unterstützt Jan auch in seiner Sprachentwicklung. 


## Using different languages in a clearly evident way (p. 28 f.)
Jan has spent the morning in the playgroup. There he learns the ambient language of German together with the other children and the playgroup teacher. Jan’s mother grew up in Switzerland, so she also speaks Swiss German in addition to Albanian, her first language. She consistently speaks Albanian with her sons – the language with which she is most familiar. The playgroup teacher cannot speak Albanian. For this reason, the three of them speak German when they say goodbye to one another after the morning at the playgroup. Once Jan and his mother are on their way together, the conversation between them continues in Albanian.

Jan can clearly assign the use of the different languages. He speaks Albanian at home with his family, and German in the playgroup. When they are together with people who only speak German or Albanian, the family adjusts their language use accordingly. The fact that both languages are associated with different situations and people helps Jan to recognise the different linguistic forms and to use one or the other language depending on the linguistic environment. It is important that the different languages are used consistently (attached to people and/or situations) and thus used in a manner that the child can understand. This makes it far easier to acquire several languages.

## Establishing and maintaining shared attention (p. 20)
There is a lot to see and talk about on the way home. Jan's mother draws his attention to exciting things – such as the large crane which is required to build the house, and the truck which brings the concrete. By making such verbal references, she enables Jan to also focus his attention on these things and thus creates a basis to start a conversation with him. Jan listens with interest and shares his own observations as well (“It broke the tree there”; “The crane is bringing something.”). In this way, the walk home also becomes a valuable learning opportunity in linguistic terms.

## Using everyday situations as opportunities to engage children in conversation (p. 20)
Both of them take time to look at what’s going on and to talk about it (“Let’s go and have a look at what they are doing”). The peep holes in the barriers of the building site encourage them to stand there and look at what is happening. His mother summarises what she sees in words (“They have stored steel there”), adds new information (“First they pulled down the old house and now they are building a new house with the large crane.”; “The men cannot lift it, so it has to be lifted with the crane.”) and encourages Jan to talk about it by asking questions (“Can you see anything?”). This linguistic arrangement of a very common daily situation is not only fun but also supportive for Jan in his language development. 


## Distinguer de manière compréhensible l’usage des différentes langues (p. 34 et suivantes)
Jan a passé la matinée au groupe de jeu. Avec les autres enfants et l’animatrice du groupe, il y apprend la langue de son environnement, l’allemand. La maman de Jan a grandi en Suisse et parle à la fois l’albanais, sa langue maternelle, et le suisse-allemand. Avec ses fils, elle parle systématiquement l’albanais, la langue qui lui est la plus familière. L’animatrice du groupe ne parle pas l’albanais. C’est pourquoi, avant le départ du groupe de jeu, les trois s’entretiennent en allemand. Dès que la maman et son fils sont seuls, ils continuent leur conversation en albanais.

Jan sait très bien différencier l’usage des différentes langues : chez lui, au sein de sa famille, il parle l’albanais et au groupe de jeu, l’allemand. Lorsqu’elle se trouve en présence de personnes qui ne parlent que l’allemand ou que l’albanais, la famille adapte l’usage de la langue. Le fait que chaque langue est associée à des situations et des personnes différentes aide Jan à identifier les diverses langues et à utiliser l’une ou l’autre selon l’environnement linguistique dans lequel il se trouve. Il est important que l’usage de chaque langue reste stable (lié à des personnes ou à des situations) et compréhensible pour l’enfant. Cela facilite énormément l’apprentissage de plusieurs langues.

## Créer et maintenir l’attention partagée (p. 23)
Sur le chemin du retour, il y a beaucoup à observer et à commenter. La mère attire l’attention de Jan sur diverses choses passionnantes comme la grue, qui est utilisée pour construire une maison, ou le camion qui transporte le béton. Grâce à ces indications linguistiques, elle incite Jan à concentrer son attention là-dessus et crée ainsi la base pour une conversation. Jan écoute attentivement et partage ses propres observations (« Ils ont cassé l’arbre, là-bas. » ; « La grue cherche quelque chose. »). Le chemin du retour devient l’occasion idéale pour apprendre, y compris sur le plan linguistique.

## Utiliser les situations du quotidien pour engager des conversations (p. 22)
Les deux prennent le temps d'observer et de discuter (« Viens, on va voir ce qu’ils font. »). Les trous dans la barrière du chantier les invitent à s’arrêter et à observer ce qu’il se passe. La maman exprime avec des mots ce qu’elle voit (« Ils ont stocké de l’acier. »), ajoute de nouvelles informations (« D’abord, ils ont détruit l’ancienne maison. Maintenant, ils en construisent une nouvelle avec la grue. » ; « Les hommes ne peuvent pas le porter. La grue est plus forte. ») et pose des questions à Jan pour l’inciter à s’exprimer (« Tu vois quelque chose ? »). Le fait de mettre des mots sur une situation banale du quotidien fait non seulement le bonheur de Jan, mais l’aide aussi dans son développement linguistique. 


## Strutturare in modo ben leggibile l’utilizzo delle diverse lingue (pag. 34 segg.)
Jan ha trascorso la mattina nel gruppo di gioco. Qui può imparare insieme agli altri bambini e alla responsabile del gruppo la lingua comune: il tedesco. La mamma di Jan è cresciuta in Svizzera e parla bene anche lo svizzero tedesco, oltre all’albanese che è la sua prima lingua. Con i suoi figli parla quindi in albanese, la lingua che le è più familiare. La responsabile del gruppo di gioco non conosce l’albanese. Per questo i tre parlano in tedesco per salutarsi dopo la mattina trascorsa al gruppo di gioco. Rimasti in due, la conversazione tra mamma e figlio sulla strada verso casa prosegue in albanese.

Jan è in grado di associare chiaramente l’uso delle diverse lingue: a casa in famiglia parla albanese e nel gruppo di gioco tedesco. La famiglia adegua di conseguenza l’uso della lingua a seconda che si trovi con persone che parlano solo tedesco o solo albanese. Il fatto che le due lingue siano legate a situazioni e persone differenti aiuta Jan a riconoscere le diverse forme linguistiche e a impiegare l’una o l’altra lingua a seconda dell’ambiente linguistico. In tale contesto è fondamentale che le diverse lingue vengano utilizzate stabilmente (collegate a persone e/o situazioni) e in modo comprensibile per il bambino. Questo facilita enormemente l’acquisizione di più lingue.

## Creare e mantenere l’attenzione condivisa (pag. 23)
Sulla strada verso casa c’è molto da osservare e di cui parlare. La mamma attira l’attenzione di Jan su cose interessanti – c’è ad esempio una grande gru necessaria per costruire una casa o un camion che porta il cemento. Con questi riferimenti verbali consente a Jan di rivolgere la sua attenzione anche a quelle cose e crea quindi il presupposto per iniziare a conversare. Jan ascolta interessato ed esprime le proprie osservazioni (“Ha rotto quell’albero”; “La gru prende qualcosa.”). In questo modo tornare a casa diventa una preziosa opportunità di apprendimento – anche sul piano linguistico.

## Utilizzare le situazioni di vita quotidiana come occasione di dialogo (pag. 22)
Entrambi si prendono del tempo per guardare e chiacchierare (“Andiamo a vedere cosa fanno.”). I buchi per guardare attraverso le barriere del cantiere invogliano a fermarsi e seguire la scena. La mamma esprime a parole ciò che vede (“Hanno depositato dell’acciaio.”), aggiunge nuove informazioni (“Prima hanno demolito la vecchia casa e adesso ne costruiscono una nuova con questa grande gru.”; “Gli uomini non riescono a portarlo, perciò lo alza la gru.”) e con delle domande esorta Jan a esprimersi (“Vedi qualcosa?”). Questa elaborazione linguistica di una situazione quotidiana è non solo divertente, ma aiuta anche Jan nel suo sviluppo linguistico.
