## Gespräche unter Kindern ermöglichen, schützen und würdigen (S. 25)
Einen Tisch, ein paar Alltagsgegenstände und ausreichend unverplante Zeit – mehr brauchen die Geschwister Mira und Nico nicht, um miteinander ins Spiel zu finden. Nachdem die Rollen geklärt sind („Gehst du nun einmal einkaufen, Nico?“), kann es losgehen. Mira ist die Verkäuferin, Nico der Kunde. Engagiert sind die Geschwister im Austausch miteinander. Dies sieht auch die Mutter, welche das Geschehen beobachtet. Sie bleibt im Hintergrund und achtet darauf, das laufende Rollenspiel nicht zu stören. Vermitteln Bezugspersonen den Kindern die nötige Sicherheit und stellen ihnen genügend Zeit und anregende Materialien zur Verfügung, schaffen sie günstige Rahmenbedingungen, damit Kinder miteinander ins Gespräch kommen können.

## Regelmässigen Kontakt zu anderen Kindern sicherstellen (S. 24)
Für die Sprachentwicklung kommt dem gemeinsamen Spiel unter Kindern eine zentrale Bedeutung zu. Beim Aushandeln, Aufrechterhalten und Weiterentwickeln des Spiels verwenden Kinder besonders reichhaltige sprachliche Mittel.

Mira ist zwei Jahre älter als Nico und hat bereits ein breites sprachliches Repertoire und einen grossen Erfahrungsschatz in alltäglichen Dingen zur Verfügung. Sie stellt Fragen („Wie alt ist Ihr Bruder?“), macht Feststellungen („Ich weiss nicht, wer Mamus ist.“) und erklärt wichtige Sachverhalte („Weisst du, im Laden weiss man nicht, wer die Freunde sind.“). Aber auch Nico gelingt es problemlos, sich im vertrauten Zusammensein mit seiner Schwester aktiv ins Spiel und ins Gespräch einzubringen. Er äussert seine Bedürfnisse („Nein. Ich will da.“), beantwortet Miras Fragen („Nein. Noch nicht.“) und bringt neue Aspekte ein („Mamus ist auch zwei.“). So setzen die beiden ihre jeweiligen sprachlichen Fähigkeiten geschickt ein, kommunizieren engagiert und selbstständig und entwickeln so das Rollenspiel weiter.

Das Spiel mit anderen Kindern ist ein wertvolles Übungsfeld, um die Sprache auf Augenhöhe selbstständig einzusetzen, zu erproben und weiterzuentwickeln. Kinder, die mit Geschwistern aufwachsen oder eine Kita besuchen, haben im Alltag automatisch Kontakt mit anderen Kindern. Ist dies nicht der Fall, sollten solche Kontakte aktiv organisiert werden (z.B. durch den Besuch einer Spielgruppe oder durch regelmässige Treffen mit anderen Familien). 

## Gemeinsam längere Gesprächsfäden spinnen (S. 23)
Nicht nur Erwachsene, auch andere Kinder können als Sprachvorbild dienen. Mira hat schon gelernt, wie sie Gedanken mitteilen oder Erklärungen nachvollziehbar ausdrücken kann. Dies zeigt sich etwa, als sie aus der fiktiven Welt der Verkäuferin wieder in die reale der grossen Schwester wechselt, um Nico zu erklären, dass Verkäuferinnen die Freunde ihrer Kunden normalerweise nicht kennen. Nico hört interessiert zu und entwickelt dabei seine eigenen sprachlichen Fähigkeiten weiter.

Die Sprachentwicklung wird aber nicht nur durch einen kompetenten Gesprächspartner oder eine kompetente Gesprächspartnerin unterstützt. Wichtig ist auch, dass Kinder Gelegenheit finden, das eigene sprachliche Können zu erproben und sich einzubringen. Nico bleibt mühelos beim Thema („Darf ich noch Geld?“; „Das ist für Mamus.“) und trägt dazu bei, die Unterhaltung aufrecht zu erhalten. So bleiben die Geschwister im regen Austausch miteinander.

 ## Making possible, protecting, and acknowledging conversations between children (p. 22)
A table, a few everyday objects and sufficient free time – this is all siblings Mira and Nico need to start playing together. After they clarify their roles (“Are you going shopping now, Nico?“), they can start. Mira is the salesperson and Nico is the customer. The siblings are actively interacting with one another. Their mother, who is watching what is happening, also sees this. She stays in the background and makes sure that she does not interrupt the ongoing role play. If caregivers give children the necessary security, sufficient time and stimulating materials, they create favourable conditions for the children to start talking with one another.

## Ensuring regular contact with other children (p. 22)
Joint play between children is of central importance for language development. When negotiating, keeping the game going and developing it, children use particularly rich linguistic material.   
Mira is two years older than Nico and already has a broad linguistic repertoire and a great deal of experience in everyday things. She asks questions (“How old is your brother?“), makes statements (“I don’t know who Mamus is”) and explains important facts (“You know that people in the shop don't know who the friends are”). However, Nico is also able to play an active part in the game and engage with his sister without any difficulty. He expresses his needs (“No. I want that.”), answers Mira’s questions (“No. Not yet.”) and introduces new aspects (“Mamus is also two years old”). In this way, the two of them employ their respective linguistic skills very deftly, communicate actively and independently and thus develop the role play further.  
Play time with other children is a valuable opportunity to use language independently on a level playing field, to try it out and to develop it further. Children who grow up with siblings or attend a kindergarten automatically have contact with other children on a daily basis. If this is not the case, such contact should be actively organised (e.g. by attending a playgroup or through regular meetings with other families). 

## Jointly spinning sustained conversational threads (p. 21)
In addition to adults, other children can also serve as a linguistic model. Mira has already learnt how to communicate her thoughts or give clear explanations. This is evident, for example, when she switches from the fictitious world of the salesperson to the real world of the older sister to explain to Nico that salespeople do not usually know their customers’ friends. Nico listens with interest and develops his own linguistic skills in the process.   
However, language development is not only facilitated by a competent discussion partner. It is also important that children have an opportunity to test their own linguistic ability and to get involved. Nico has no difficulty remaining on topic (“May I have more money?”; “That is for Mamus.”) and plays his own part in keeping the conversation going. In this way, the siblings remain in active discussion with each other.

## Favoriser, protéger et valoriser les conversations entre enfants (p. 25)
Une table, quelques objets de la vie quotidienne et du temps : Mira et Nico, qui sont frère et sœur, n’ont besoin de rien d’autre pour jouer ensemble. Une fois que les rôles sont clairs (« Nico, tu vas faire les commissions ? »), le jeu peut commencer. Mira est la vendeuse et Nico son client. Les deux sont très investis dans leur échange. La maman observe la situation, mais elle reste en retrait pour ne pas perturber le jeu de rôle. Si les personnes de référence transmettent aux enfants l’assurance nécessaire et leurs accordent suffisamment de temps et des moyens stimulants, elles créent des conditions-cadres idéales pour que les enfants puissent engager une conversation.

## Assurer un contact régulier avec d’autres enfants (p. 24)
Pour le développement linguistique, il est primordial que les enfants jouent ensemble. Lorsqu’ils négocient, poursuivent et développent le jeu, les enfants utilisent de nombreux outils linguistiques.

Mira a deux ans de plus que Nico et possède un vocabulaire plus riche ainsi que davantage d’expérience au quotidien. Elle pose des questions (« Quel âge a votre frère ? »), fait des constats (« Je ne sais pas qui est Mamus. ») et explique des choses importantes (« Tu sais, on ne connaît pas les amis au magasin. »). Dans ce cadre familier avec sa sœur, Nico n’a aucune difficulté à entrer activement dans le jeu et la conversation. Il exprime ses besoins (« Non. Je veux là. »), répond aux questions de Mira (« Non. Pas encore ») et évoque un nouvel aspect (« Mamus a aussi 2 ans. »). Ainsi, chacun utilise de manière habile ses capacités linguistiques, communique de manière autonome et engagée et poursuit ainsi le jeu de rôle.

Jouer avec d’autres enfants est un exercice précieux qui leur permet d’employer, de tester et de développer les connaissances linguistiques de manière indépendante. Les enfants qui grandissent avec des frères et des sœurs ou qui vont à la crèche sont automatiquement en contact avec d’autres enfants au quotidien. Si ce n’est pas le cas, il faudrait organiser ce type de contact (p. ex. en participant à un groupe de jeu ou en organisant des rencontres régulières avec d’autres familles). 

## Tisser ensemble des longs fils de discussion (p. 23)
Outre les adultes, d’autres enfants peuvent aussi servir de modèle linguistique. Mira a déjà appris à verbaliser ses pensées ou à expliquer certaines choses de manière compréhensible. Cela transparaît notamment lorsqu’elle passe du monde imaginaire de la vendeuse au monde réel de la grande sœur pour expliquer à Nico que les vendeuses ne connaissent normalement pas les amis de leurs clients. Nico écoute avec intérêt et développe ses propres capacités linguistiques.

Le développement linguistique n'est cependant pas uniquement favorisé par des interlocuteurs compétents. Il est également important que les enfants aient l’occasion d’explorer leurs propres talents linguistiques et de participer. Nico n’a aucune difficulté à suivre le fil (« Je peux avoir de l’argent ? » ; « C’est pour Mamus. ») et contribue à entretenir la conversation. Les deux peuvent ainsi poursuivre leur échange animé.

## Consentire, tutelare e apprezzare le conversazioni tra bambini (pag. 25)
Un tavolo, un paio di oggetti della quotidianità e abbastanza tempo senza programmi – i fratelli Mira e Nico non hanno bisogno di altro per giocare insieme. Una volta che i ruoli sono stati chiariti (“Nico, vai tu a far la spesa adesso?“), si può iniziare. Mira è la commessa, Nico il cliente. Con impegno i fratelli iniziano a giocare insieme. Lo vede anche la mamma che osserva in disparte quanto accade facendo attenzione a non disturbare il gioco di ruolo in atto. Se le persone di riferimento trasmettono la sicurezza necessaria ai bambini e mettono loro a disposizione sufficiente tempo e materiali stimolanti, creano le condizioni favorevoli affinché i bambini possano iniziare a interagire.

## Garantire il contatto regolare con altri bambini (pag. 24)
Giocare con altri bambini ha un significato centrale per lo sviluppo linguistico dei piccoli. Per gestire, mantenere e sviluppare il gioco i bambini utilizzano mezzi linguistici particolarmente ricchi.

Mira ha due anni in più di Nico e possiede già un repertorio linguistico vasto e un ampio bagaglio di esperienze riguardo alle attività quotidiane. Pone domande (“Quanti anni ha suo fratello?”), fa osservazioni (“Non so chi sia Mamus.”) e spiega concetti importanti (“Sai, in un negozio non si sa chi siano gli amici.”). Ma grazie alla fiducia tra i due, anche Nico riesce senza problemi a giocare attivamente e conversare con sua sorella. Manifesta le sue esigenze (“No. Voglio star qua.”), risponde alle domande di Mira (“No. Non ancora.”) e introduce nuovi aspetti (“Anche Mamus ha due anni.”). In questo modo entrambi utilizzano abilmente le proprie capacità linguistiche, comunicano in modo impegnato e autonomo e portano avanti il gioco di ruolo.

Giocare con altri bambini è un prezioso esercizio per impiegare, sperimentare e sviluppare autonomamente la lingua tra pari. I bambini che crescono con fratelli e sorelle o frequentano l’asilo entrano ogni giorno automaticamente in contatto con altri bambini. Se così non fosse si dovrebbero organizzare appositi incontri (ad es. frequentare un gruppo di gioco o incontrare regolarmente altri familiari). 

## Intrecciare insieme sequenze di dialogo più lunghe (pag. 23)
Non solo gli adulti, ma anche i bambini possono fungere da modello linguistico. Mira ha già imparato a comunicare i pensieri e a dare spiegazioni comprensibili. Lo dimostra ad esempio quando passa dal mondo fittizio della commessa a quello reale della sorella maggiore, per spiegare a Nico che normalmente i commessi non conoscono gli amici dei loro clienti. Nico ascolta interessato e sviluppa contestualmente le proprie capacità linguistiche.

Lo sviluppo del linguaggio non è però stimolato solo da interlocutori competenti. È altrettanto importante che i bambini abbiano la possibilità di sperimentare le proprie capacità linguistiche partecipando attivamente alle conversazioni. Nico resta facilmente concentrato sul tema (“Posso avere ancora dei soldi?”; “È per Mamus.”) e contribuisce a mantenere attiva la conversazione. In questo modo i fratelli mantengono uno scambio vivace.
