## Zugehörigkeit

Jedes Kind möchte sich überall, wo es sich aufhält, willkommen fühlen und einbezogen werden. Anna ist mit Abstand die Jüngste in der Gruppe. Doch auch sie ist Teil der kleinen Gemeinschaft und wird selbstverständlich von der Erzieherin und von den anderen Kindern in die gemeinsame Tanz-Aktion einbezogen. Anna braucht noch etwas Unterstützung, um mitmachen zu können. Doch an der Hand der Erzieherin bzw. in deren Nähe oder beim Tanzen mit Paolo – einem älteren Jungen – geht es ganz einfach. Auch die anderen Kinder dürfen an die Hand der Erzieherin. Und wer keine freie Hand von ihr erwischt, der nimmt einfach eine Hand eines anderen Kindes. Alle sind einander vertraut und haben schon vieles gemeinsam erlebt. Da gibt es keine Berührungsängste. Auch dieses Tanzerlebnis stärkt die Gruppe. Einerseits kann jedes Kind seine eigenen Ideen einbringen. Abwechselnd wird bestimmt, welche Art von Schritten als nächstes im Lied besungen werden soll. Andererseits erleben die Kinder, dass alle Mitglieder dieser Kleingruppe zusammen etwas tun und Spass dabei haben. Das gemeinsame Erlebnis und der Respekt für jedes einzelne Kind tragen dazu bei, sich in der Gruppe wohl zu fühlen.

## Gemeinschaftliches Lernen

Die Kinder dieser Kleingruppe sind nicht alle gleich alt. Dennoch können sie alle voneinander profitieren: Die jüngeren Kinder lernen verschiedene Bewegungsabläufe kennen, indem sie die Grösseren beobachten und nachahmen, und die älteren Kinder lernen, wie sie die Jüngeren dabei unterstützen können. Paolo nimmt die kleine Anna gerne bei den Händen und tanzt mit ihr durch den Raum. So lernen die Kinder in der Gemeinschaft mit anderen, Verantwortung für das eigene Tun und für andere zu übernehmen. Sie erwerben dabei nicht nur Wissen über neue Dinge und Geschehnisse, sondern auch bedeutende soziale Kompetenzen. Die Kinder bringen ihre Ideen ein, welche Schritte als nächste gemacht werden sollen. Dabei kann nicht jede Idee berücksichtigt werden, z.B. gibt es für Hüpfschritte zwei unterschiedliche Vorschläge, wie diese aussehen könnten. Spass am Spiel zu haben, obwohl es nicht die eigene Idee war, ist nicht so einfach. So lernen die Kinder, in der Gemeinschaft zu kooperieren, andere Perspektiven einzunehmen, eigene Ideen zu äussern und die Ideen der anderen umzusetzen. In der Gruppe üben die Kinder, sich einzuordnen und zurückzunehmen.

## Teilhaben und mitwirken

Partizipation, also die Beteiligung oder Mitbestimmung, fängt bei Kleinigkeiten an. Die Erzieherin fragt die Kinder, welche Art von Schritten als nächstes gemacht werden soll. Sie spricht alle Kinder an und jedes darf sich einbringen. Schnell kommen viele Ideen der Kinder, denn sie kennen das Tanzlied gut und können sich vorstellen, was möglich ist. Die Kinder äussern ihre Vorschläge mal mit Sagen (z.B. „Hüpfschritte“), mal mit Vorzeigen (z.B. durch den Raum rennen als Idee für „Rennschritte“). So können sich alle Kinder auf ihre individuelle Art und Weise mitteilen und werden von der Erzieherin gehört. Die Erzieherin nimmt die Ideen der Kinder ernst. Diesmal sind die Kleinen die Expertinnen und Experten, welche der Erzieherin zeigen, wie es geht. Das stärkt das Selbstvertrauen der Kinder. Zugehörigkeit und Partizipation eröffnen zudem vielfältige Lernerfahrungen. Sie sind Grundstein eines demokratischen Miteinanders.

## Anregungsreiche Lernumgebung

Die Aufgabe der Erwachsenen besteht darin, den Kindern eine anregungsreiche Lernumgebung zu schaffen, in der sie neue Erfahrungen sowohl mit anderen Kindern und Erwachsenen wie auch mit Dingen sammeln können. Die Erzieherin hat hier für die Kinder das gemeinsame Singen und Tanzen initiiert. Dies ermöglicht es, vielseitige Erfahrungen mit Bewegung und Musik – für sich allein und gemeinsam mit der Gruppe – zu sammeln. Dabei gelingt der Erzieherin eine gute Balance zwischen ihrer Anregung und der Eigeninitiative der Kinder. So ist sie mit den Kindern bewusst in den Bewegungsraum gegangen. Sie hat damit das Bedürfnis der Kinder nach Bewegung aufgenommen sowie ihnen einen Erfahrungsraum eröffnet. In diesem Rahmen nimmt sie die Ideen der Kinder auf und lässt Spielraum für deren Kreativität.

## Belonging

All children want to feel welcome and included wherever they are. Anna is by far the youngest child in this group. But she is a part of the small community, and the teacher and the other children naturally include her in their game about different ways of moving. Anna needs some help so that she can participate. But when she is holding the teacher’s hand or at her teacher’s side or is dancing with Paolo, an older boy, it all goes quite easily. The other children are allowed to hold the teacher’s hand, too. And any child who does not get the teacher’s hand simply takes the hand of another child. They are all familiar with each other and have done a lot of things together. They are not afraid of physical contact. This movement game strengthens the group: for one, the children are all allowed to contribute their own ideas; they take turns deciding what kind of steps they will use and sing about. For another, the children experience that everyone in the little group is doing something together and having fun. The shared experience and the respect for each child help them feel good in the group.

## Learning together

The children in this small group are not all the same age. But they can all benefit from one another: the younger children learn different ways of moving by watching the older children and imitating them, and the older children learn how they can help the younger ones. Paolo is happy to take little Anna‘s hands in his and to dance around the room with her. Together with others, children learn to take responsibility for their own actions and for others. They acquire not only knowledge about new things and events but also important social skills. Here they contribute their ideas for ways that the children can move next. Not all of their ideas can be used: for example, two different suggestions for hopping are put forward. To continue enjoying the game even if it is not your own idea is not so easy. Through this experience, the children learn to cooperate in the group, see things from another’s perspective, express their ideas and put others’ ideas into practice. In the group the children practice being team players and stepping back.

## Participating and contributing

Participation—taking part, joining in, contributing—starts with little things. The teacher asks the children what kind of steps they could do next in their movement game. She addresses each child, and each child may offer a suggestion. The children have a lot of suggestions right away, as they know this game well and the options available. They offer their ideas with words (“hopping steps”) or by demonstrating (running to show “running steps“). Thus, all of the children can communicate their ideas in their own individual way and are heard by the teacher. The teacher takes their suggestions seriously. This time, the children are the experts who show the teacher how to do things. This strengthens their self-confidence. Belonging and participation also open up a variety of learning opportunities. They are the foundation of democratic cooperation.

## Stimulating learning environment

It is up to adults to create a stimulating learning environment in which children can have new experiences, both together with other children and adults and with things. Here, the teacher has initiated a game that involves group singing and movement. This gives the children an opportunity for a variety of experiences with movement and music, on their own and as a group. The teacher succeeds at finding a good balance between inspiring the children and encouraging the children’s own self-initiative. She chose to bring the children into the movement room. She is recognizing their need to move and also providing a new experience, in which she takes up the children’s ideas and gives them plenty of scope for creativity.

## Appartenance

Partout où il se trouve, chaque enfant veut se sentir le bienvenu et se sentir partie prenante du groupe. Anna est de loin la plus jeune du groupe. Mais elle n’en fait pas moins aussi partie de la communauté et l’éducatrice comme les autres enfants lui permettent de participer à la danse. Anna a encore besoin d’être aidée pour cela. Elle tient la main de l’éducatrice, reste près d’elle ou danse avec Paolo – un garçon un peu plus grand –, et tout devient facile. Les autres enfants ont aussi le droit de tenir la main de l’éducatrice. Et ceux qui n’y arrivent pas prennent la main d’un autre enfant. Tous se connaissent bien et ont déjà vécu beaucoup de choses ensemble. Il n’y a donc pas de glace à briser entre eux. Et cette danse renforce également le groupe. Chaque enfant peut apporter ses propres idées au groupe. On choisit à tour de rôle les pas de danse que l’on va chanter. D’un autre côté, les enfants perçoivent en même temps que tous les membres de ce petit groupe font quelque chose ensemble et qu’ils en éprouvent du plaisir. Ce sentiment éprouvé ensemble et le respect manifesté vis-à-vis de chacun contribuent à ce que tous se sentent bien au sein du groupe.

## Apprendre ensemble

Les enfants de ce petit groupe n’ont pas tous le même âge. Mais chacun peut tirer profit de la présence des autres: les plus jeunes se familiarisent avec différents mouvements en observant et en imitant les plus grands, et ceux-ci apprennent à aider les plus petits. Paolo prend volontiers la petite Anna par la main et danse avec elle à travers la pièce. Les enfants apprennent ainsi, au sein d’une collectivité, à assumer des responsabilités pour leurs propres actes et pour les autres. Ils acquièrent ainsi non seulement des connaissances sur les choses et sur les événements, mais également d’importantes compétences sociales. Ils apportent leurs idées dans le groupe sur le choix des prochains pas de danse. On ne peut pas prendre en compte toutes les idées, par exemple, il y a deux propositions différentes sur la manière de sautiller. Il n’est pas si facile d’éprouver du plaisir pour un jeu qu’on n’a pas proposé soi-même. Les enfants apprennent dans la collectivité à coopérer, à prendre en compte le point de vue des autres, à exprimer leurs propres idées et à mettre en œuvre celles des autres. Au sein du groupe, les enfants apprennent à se positionner et à se rétracter.

## Participer et collaborer

La participation, le fait de pouvoir collaborer à quelque chose, commence avec de toutes petites choses. L’éducatrice demande aux enfants quels pas ils voudraient exécuter. Elle s’adresse à tous les enfants et chacun a le droit de donner son avis. Rapidement, les idées fusent car les enfants connaissent bien la chanson et peuvent facilement imaginer les manières de l’accompagner par la danse. Ils expriment leur avis parfois par des mots (par exemple «sautiller»), parfois en mimant les pas (par exemple en courant à travers la pièce pour imiter la course). Cela permet à chaque enfant de communiquer à sa manière et d’être entendu par l’éducatrice. Celle-ci prend leurs idées au sérieux. Cette fois, ce sont les petits qui sont les experts, qui montrent à l’éducatrice comment on fait. Cela renforce leur confiance en eux-mêmes. Le sentiment d’appartenance et la participation offrent de multiples occasions d’apprendre. Ce sont les bases de relations démocratiques.

## Un environnement d’apprentissage plein de stimulations

La tâche des adultes consiste à donner aux enfants un environnement d’apprentissage plein de stimulations où ils pourront faire le plein d’expériences avec d’autres enfants, avec des adultes et avec des objets. L’éducatrice a démarré la danse et le chant pour le groupe. Cela donne de nombreuses possibilités de mouvements en musique, pour chaque enfant et au sein du groupe. L’éducatrice arrive à assurer un bon équilibre entre la sollicitation et l’initiative propre des enfants. Elle a délibérément choisi pour les enfants la «salle d’activités». Elle a ainsi pris note de leur besoin de se dépenser et leur a donné la possibilité de faire de nouvelles expériences. Ce cadre lui permet de prendre note des idées des enfants tout en fournissant une marge importante à leur créativité.

## Appartenenza

Ovunque un bambino desidera essere bene accolto e coinvolto. Anna è di gran lunga la più giovane del gruppo. Ciononostante, anche lei, fa parte del gruppo e, in modo naturale, l’educatrice e gli altri bambini la coinvolgono nell’attività di danza. Per poter prendere parte all’attività, Anna ha ancora bisogno di un po’ di sostegno. Il tutto riesce bene nel momento in cui l’educatrice le dà la mano, oppure si trova nelle vicinanze, lo stesso dicasi ballando con Paolo, un bambino che fa parte del gruppo dei grandi. Anche gli altri bambini possono prendere la mano dell’educatrice. Quelli che non arrivano a prendere una mano libera si accontentano di prendere quella di un altro bambino. Tutti si sentono in un rapporto di fiducia e, insieme, hanno già vissuto molte esperienze. Nessuno ha paura del contatto con l’altro. Anche l’esperienza del ballo rafforza il gruppo. Da un lato, ogni bambino può proporre le sue idee. A turno si decide qual è il passo che deve corrispondere alla melodia della canzone. Da un altro lato, tutti i bambini di questo piccolo gruppo constatano il piacere degli altri bambini nel fare qualche cosa insieme. Vivere esperienze insieme e il rispetto verso ogni singolo bambino fanno sì che ognuno si senta a proprio agio nel gruppo.

## Apprendimento collettivo

I bambini di questo gruppo non hanno tutti la medesima età. Ciononostante tutti possono approfittare della presenza degli altri. I più giovani imparano a fare diverse sequenze di movimenti osservando e copiando i più grandi, a loro volta, i più grandi, imparano come possono aiutare i più piccoli. Paolo ha piacere nel prendere per mano la piccola Anna e ballare con lei attraversando tutto il locale. E’ in questo modo, nel gruppo, che i bambini imparano ad assumere determinate responsabilità verso se stessi e verso altri bambini. I bambini assimilano, non solo nuove conoscenze in rapporto a cose e a fatti, ma imparano anche importanti competenze sociali. In fatto di passi, i bambini propongono le loro idee. Ciò facendo non tutte le idee possono essere prese in considerazione, ad esempio per il passo saltellato ci sono due diverse proposte. Non è così facile avere piacere al gioco quando la propria idea non è stata accolta. E’ in questo modo che i bambini imparano a cooperare tra loro, a prendere in considerazione altri punti di vista, a manifestare le loro idee e a interpretare le idee degli altri. Nel gruppo i bambini imparano a situarsi e a posizionarsi.

## Prendere parte e partecipare

La partecipazione, vale a dire il coinvolgimento e la condivisione, prendono avvio nella prima infanzia. L’educatrice si rivolge ai bambini per sapere quale passo deve essere fatto nel seguito. Lei si rivolge a tutti i bambini, ogni singolo bambino può partecipare. Molti sono i bambini che manifestano le loro idee poiché conoscono bene la melodia del ballo e sono in grado di immaginare cosa è possibile fare. I bambini manifestano le loro proposte, a volte parlando (ad esempio “passo saltellato”), altre volte mostrando (ad esempio per i “passi di corsa” attraversando il locale correndo). E’ cosi che, tutti i bambini, possono dire la loro e l’educatrice dà ascolto ad ognuno. Le idee vengono prese sul serio dall’educatrice. In questo caso sono i più piccoli ad essere le esperte e gli esperti che mostrano all’educatrice come si deve fare. Ciò rafforza l’autostima. Appartenenza e partecipazione aprono le porte a molte occasioni di apprendimento. Appartenenza e partecipazione sono all’origine di una comunità democratica.

## Contesto di apprendimento stimolante

Il compito degli adulti è quello di creare un ambiente di apprendimento ricco di stimoli che consenta ai bambini di fare esperienze con oggetti, con persone adulte e con altri bambini. In questo caso l’educatrice ha dato avvio al canto e alla danza in comune. Tutto ciò permette di assimilare molteplici esperienze di danza e di musica per sé e con gli altri componenti del gruppo. L’educatrice riesce ad equilibrare, in modo ottimale, le sue suggestioni con le iniziative dei singoli bambini. Il suo modo di agire nello spazio riflette in modo ottimale questa concezione. Così facendo ha raccolto il bisogno di movimento dei bambini e ha aperto la via verso nuove esperienze. In un contesto così concepito è in grado di accogliere le idee dei bambini e concedere spazio alla loro creatività.
