## Teilhaben und mitwirken

Heute ist Waschtag. Livia, Mauro und die Mutter erledigen diese Haushaltsaufgabe gemeinsam. Die Kinder machen gerne mit. Dank des kleinen Wäscheständers können sie tatkräftig mithelfen. Auch wenn Livia noch nicht so geübt darin ist, die Wäsche aufzuhängen, wird sie dennoch von ihrem Bruder und der Mutter ganz selbstverständlich einbezogen. Beide helfen dem Mädchen mit Vorzeigen, Tipps und Geduld, damit es selbst auch einen Beitrag zur gemeinsamen Tätigkeit leisten kann. Und Mauro hilft sowieso schon fleissig mit. Gewissenhaft erfüllt er seine Aufgabe. Die Kinder sind nicht nur eine Unterstützung für die Mutter, sondern bekommen beim Mithelfen auch das Gefühl, etwas für die gesamte Familie zu leisten. Für Kinder ist es wichtig, dass sie sich in der Gemeinschaft einbringen können und dies auch erwünscht ist. Dazu brauchen sie Erwachsene, welche die Beiträge und den Einfluss von Kindern als wertvoll erachten und schätzen. Die Mutter bedankt sich bei Livia für jedes Kleidungsstück, welches diese ihr reicht. Sie gibt ihrer Tochter damit zu verstehen, dass sie ihre Hilfe schätzt. Gemeinsame Tätigkeiten, wie etwa das Wäscheaufhängen, stärken die Beziehung zwischen den Familienmitgliedern.

## Respektvolle Botschaften, Ermutigungen und Anteilnahme

Mauro ist stolz auf die von ihm geleistete Arbeit. Dafür möchte er aber auch die Anerkennung der Mutter: „Mami, willst du mal schauen, wie meines aussieht?“ Kinder orientieren sich in ihren Wahrnehmungen und Wertungen stark am Ausdruck und am Verhalten von für sie bedeutungsvollen Erwachsenen. Aus der Rückmeldung der Mutter erfährt Mauro, was er bewirken kann und wie andere auf ihn reagieren. Die Meinung der Mutter ist für ihn wichtig, um seine Leistung selbst einschätzen zu können.

„Super aufgehängt, ja“, antwortet die Mutter auf Mauros Frage. Mit dieser Aussage vermittelt sie ihrem Sohn Wertschätzung und bringt ihre Anteilnahme an Mauros Tun zum Ausdruck. Dies hilft Mauro beim allmählichen Aufbau eines positiven und zugleich realistischen Selbstkonzepts.

## Sprachliche Begleitung

Während des gemeinsamen Wäscheaufhängens sind Livia, Mauro und die Mutter miteinander im Gespräch. Die Kommunikation mit anderen Menschen spielt für Kinder eine bedeutsame Rolle. Durch den nonverbalen (z.B. Blickkontakt, Gesten, Gesichtsausdrücke), vorverbalen (z.B. Laute) und verbalen (Worte) Austausch mit anderen erwerben Kinder ein vielfältiges Bild von sich und der Welt. Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass Erwachsene von Beginn an mit den Kindern sprechen und ihre Handlungen verbalisieren. Alltägliche Aktivitäten, wie das Aufhängen von Wäsche, eignen sich bestens als Anlass für Kommunikation. Im Dialog mit den Kindern regt die Mutter deren sprachliche Weiterentwicklung an. Unermüdlich übt Livia, sich mit Worten und Lauten auszudrücken. Die Mutter antwortet auf ihre Äusserungen. Sie zeigt ihrer Tochter so, dass sie ihre Sprachversuche wertschätzt und ihre Botschaften versteht. Dadurch wird Livia in ihrem Bestreben, die Sprache zu lernen, ermutigt und gestärkt.

## Gemeinschaftliches Lernen

„Schau, du musst es so!“, sagt Mauro zu Livia und zeigt ihr, wie man die Kleider über die Leine hängen muss. Dabei ist er besonders gründlich, um für Livia ein gutes Vorbild zu sein. Er nimmt aber auch die Rolle des Belehrenden ein und kommentiert mit kraftvoller Stimme, dass Livia die frisch gewaschenen Sachen wieder auf den Boden geworfen habe.

Die Mutter zeigt Livia ebenfalls einen Trick beim Aufhängen: Schütteln kann man die Kleidung. Livia nimmt diesen Hinweis gerne an und probiert es gleich aus. Oder Livia könnte der Mutter die Sachen reichen. Auch diese Idee nimmt Livia sofort auf und reicht der Mutter ein Kleidungsstück nach dem anderen.

Livia kann durch das Zusammensein mit der Mutter und dem Bruder viel profitieren. Sie hat gleich zwei Vorbilder, von denen sie viel lernen kann. Und Mauro erfüllt seine Rolle als grosser Bruder selbstbewusst. Indem er Livia unterstützt und ihr wertvolle Tipps gibt, lernt er selbst, sein eigenes Wissen zu sortieren und weiterzugeben sowie Verantwortung für seine jüngere Schwester zu übernehmen.

## Participating and contributing

Today is laundry day. Livia, Mauro and their mother are doing this household task together. The children enjoy participating. Thanks to the small laundry rack, they can take an active part. Although Livia is not very experienced at hanging up washing, her brother and her mother very naturally include her. Both of them help the little girl by showing, giving tips and being patient, so that she can make her own contribution to the joint activity. Mauro helps industriously and conscientiously. The children are a help to their mother, but through helping they also gain a sense of making a contribution to the whole family. It is important for children to give of themselves in the family group and to know that this is desired and welcome. For this they need adults who see and appreciate the value of their contributions. Her mother says thank you to Livia for each piece of laundry that Livia hands her. She is communicating to her daughter that she appreciates her help. Doing things together, like hanging the washing, strengthens the relationship between family members.

## Respectful messages, encouragement and taking interest

Mauro is proud of the work that he has done. But he would also like to have recognition from his mother and asks, “Mommy, will you look at how mine looks?” In their perceptions and assessments children are strongly oriented by the facial expressions and behavior of adults who are important to them. From his mother’s feedback, Mauro learns what effect he can have and how others react to him. His mother’s opinion is important for him to be able to assess his performance himself.

“You did a super job hanging those,” his mother answers. This response communicates her appreciation of her son and expresses her deep interest in the things he does. This helps Mauro gradually develop a positive and also realistic self-concept.

## Language support

Livia, Mauro and their mother engage in conversation as they work together hanging up the washing. Communication with others is very important for young children. Through non-verbal (eye contact, gestures, facial expressions), pre-verbal (sounds) and verbal (words) exchange with others, children acquire a multifaceted picture of themselves and their world. For this reason, it is important for adults to speak to children from the very start and to verbalize their actions. Everyday activities, such as hanging the washing, are wonderful opportunities for communicating. In dialogue with the children, their mother fosters their language development. Livia constantly practices expressing herself in words and sounds. Her mother responds to her utterances, thus showing her daughter that she values her attempts to speak and understands what she is trying to say. This encourages and reinforces Livia in her efforts to acquire language.

## Learning together

“Livia, look, you have to do it this way,” says Mauro, and he shows Livia how to hang the clothes on the rack. He takes particular care in order to be a good example to Livia. He also takes an instructive role and points out in a loud voice that Livia has let freshly washed clothes fall on the floor.

Livia’s mother also shows her a trick to hanging the clothes: you shake them out first. Livia is happy to know this and immediately tries it out. Or Livia could hand things to her mother to hang. Livia takes up on this idea right away as well and hands her mother one piece of laundry after the other.

Livia benefits a lot from being together with her mother and brother. She has two role models from whom she can learn. And Mauro exercises his role as big brother self-confidently. By helping Livia and giving her tips, he himself learns to sort and pass along his knowledge and to take responsibility for his younger sister.

## Participer et collaborer

C’est aujourd’hui jour de lessive. Livia, Mauro et leur mère accomplissent cette tâche ménagère ensemble. Les enfants aiment bien y participer. Grâce au petit séchoir, ils peuvent vraiment aider. Même si Livia n’est pas encore très adroite pour pendre le linge, son frère et sa mère la font bien évidemment participer à cette activité. Ils l’aident en lui montrant comment on fait, en lui donnant des conseils et en faisant preuve de patience, pour qu’elle puisse elle aussi contribuer à cette activité commune. Et Mauro est tout absorbé par sa tâche. Il travaille consciencieusement. Les enfants ne sont pas seulement une aide pour leur mère, mais ils ont en outre le sentiment d’accomplir quelque chose pour toute la famille. Il est important que les enfants puissent participer à la vie de la collectivité et que cette participation soit souhaitée. Ils ont besoin pour cela d’adultes qui sachent apprécier leur contribution et leur influence à leur juste valeur. Sa mère remercie Livia pour chaque pièce de linge que celle-ci lui tend. Elle indique ainsi à sa fille qu’elle apprécie son aide. Les activités communes, comme le fait de pendre le linge, renforcent la relation au sein de la famille.

## Des messages respectueux, des encouragements et de l’empathie

Mauro est fier de son travail. Et il a besoin de la reconnaissance de sa mère: «Maman, tu veux voir le mien?». La manière dont les enfants perçoivent et évaluent les choses est fortement influencée par ce qu’expriment et ce que font les adultes qui sont importants pour eux. La réponse de sa mère indique à Mauro qu’il a accompli quelque chose et que les autres réagissent à cela. L’opinion de sa mère est importante pour lui, elle lui permet d’évaluer lui-même ce qu’il a fait.

«Super, très bien étendu!», répond la mère. Elle communique ainsi à son fils un sentiment de valeur et exprime qu’elle participe à ce que Mauro a fait. Cela aide ce dernier à se forger progressivement une perception de soi à la fois positive et réaliste.

## L’accompagnement par la parole

Pendant toute l’activité d’étendage du linge, Livia, Mauro et leur mère entretiennent un dialogue. La communication avec d’autres personnes joue un rôle essentiel pour les enfants. L’échange non verbal (par exemple le contact visuel, les gestes, l’expression du visage), préverbal (par exemple des sons émis) et verbal (les paroles) avec les autres permet aux enfants d’acquérir une image plurielle d’eux-mêmes et du monde. C’est pourquoi il est important que les adultes leur parlent dès le début et verbalisent leurs actes. Les activités quotidiennes, comme étendre le linge, se prêtent particulièrement à la communication. En dialoguant avec ses enfants, la mère favorise leur acquisition de la langue. Livia essaie infatigablement de s’exprimer avec des paroles et avec des sons. Sa mère lui répond, lui montrant ainsi qu’elle estime ce que fait Livia et qu’elle comprend ses messages. Elle encourage et renforce ainsi Livia dans son effort pour apprendre la langue.

## Apprendre ensemble

«Livia, regarde, tu dois faire comme ça!», lui dit Mauro en lui montrant comment étendre des vêtements sur la corde. Il s’applique particulièrement pour montrer l’exemple à sa sœur. Mais il prend également un rôle de donneur de leçon en commentant d’une voix forte et désapprobatrice le fait que Livia a jeté le linge propre par terre.

Sa mère montre également à Livia une astuce pour étendre le linge: il faut le secouer avant. Livia prend note de cette recommandation et l’applique tout de suite. Sa mère lui dit qu’elle peut aussi lui donner le linge à étendre au fur et à mesure. Livia en prend tout de suite note et tend à sa mère un vêtement après l’autre.

Livia peut tirer un grand profit de sa présence ici avec sa mère et son frère. Elle a devant elle deux modèles, dont elle peut beaucoup apprendre. Et Mauro joue avec beaucoup d’assurance son rôle de frère ainé. En assistant Livia et en lui donnant des astuces utiles, il apprend lui-même à ordonner ses connaissances et à les transmettre, mais aussi à assumer la responsabilité de sa petite sœur.

## Prendere parte e collaborare

Oggi è giorno di bucato. Livia, Mauro e la madre affrontano insieme questo compito della vita domestica. I bambini partecipano volentieri. Grazie al piccolo appendiabiti possono dare il loro contributo in modo attivo. Anche se Livia non sa ancora appendere molto bene gli abiti è spontaneo l’aiuto della mamma e del fratello. Mostrando alcuni trucchi, e facendo in modo che possa dare il suo contributo all’attività in comune, ambedue aiutano la bambina con pazienza e attraverso l’esempio. Mauro prende parte all’attività con molto impegno. Svolge il suo compito con grande scrupolo. Per la mamma i bambini non sono solo un aiuto. Aiutando, i bambini, avvertono di dare un contributo all’insieme della famiglia. Per loro è importante sentire che possono prendere parte alla vita comunitaria e che il loro contributo è anche auspicato. Per raggiungere tale risultato è bene che ci siano adulti che sappiano apprezzare ed evidenziare la positività del contributo dato dai bambini. La mamma esprime gratitudine per ogni capo di abbigliamento che Livia riesce a porgerle. Così facendo, consente alla figlia di capire che apprezza il suo aiuto. Attività in comune, come ad esempio appendere gli abiti, rafforzano i rapporti tra i membri della famiglia.

## Messaggi rispettosi, incoraggiamenti e partecipazione

Mauro è orgoglioso del lavoro svolto. Per tale ragione desidera il riconoscimento anche da parte della mamma: “Mamma vuoi guardare com’è il mio?” I bambini orientano molto le loro percezioni e le loro valutazioni a ciò che esprimono gli adulti che fanno parte del loro mondo. Dalla risposta della madre Mauro capisce l’importanza del risultato raggiunto e quale effetto può avere su altre persone. L’opinione della madre è importante per poter in seguito valutare lui stesso ciò che fa.

“L’hai appeso molto bene, super” risponde la mamma alla domanda di Mauro. Attraverso tale messaggio la mamma manifesta il suo apprezzamento e la sua partecipazione a ciò che fa Mauro. Questo atteggiamento della madre aiuta Mauro nella costruzione di un’immagine positiva e, al tempo stesso, realistica di sé.

## Accompagnamento linguistico

Durante l’attività che ha visto Livia, Mauro e la madre appendere gli abiti nella lavanderia, i tre erano in contatto verbale tra di loro. La comunicazione con altre persone è molto significativa per i bambini. I bambini hanno modo di costruire una visione articolata del sé e del mondo attraverso il contatto non verbale (ad esempio tramite lo sguardo, i gesti, la mimica), il pre-verbale (ad esempio un grido) e lo scambio verbale (le parole) con altri. Per tale ragione è importante, sin dall’inizio, che gli adulti parlino con i bambini e verbalizzino le loro attività. Attività che fanno parte della quotidianità, come ad esempio appendere la biancheria, sono ottime occasioni per la comunicazione. Attraverso il dialogo con i bambini la madre stimola lo sviluppo del linguaggio. Instancabile, Livia cerca di esprimersi a parole. La madre risponde alle sue manifestazioni. La madre attesta alla propria figlia che apprezza i tentativi linguistici e che comprende i suoi messaggi. Così facendo, Livia viene incoraggiata e rafforzata nella sua ricerca di apprendimento della lingua.

## Apprendimento collettivo

“Guarda, devi fare così!”, dice Mauro a Livia e le mostra come deve appendere i vestiti al filo. Mauro si sforza di essere un buon esempio. Ciò facendo assume anche il ruolo dell’insegnante che richiama con forza Livia quando lascia cadere per terra la biancheria appena lavata.

Anche la madre mostra a Livia un trucco mentre appende: è possibile scuotere il capo di abbigliamento. Livia accetta con piacere il suggerimento e prova subito a sua volta. Oppure Livia potrebbe passare le cose alla mamma. Livia accoglie subito quest’ultima suggestione e porge alla madre, uno dopo l’altro, i capi d’abbigliamento.

Lo stare insieme con la mamma e con il fratello permette a Livia di usufruire di molte occasioni di apprendimento. Ha davanti a sé, contemporaneamente, due esempi dai quali può imparare molto. Mauro interpreta, in modo consapevole, il ruolo di fratello maggiore. Sostiene Livia fornendole un insieme di indicazioni di valore. Dal canto suo, Mauro, impara a selezionare le sue conoscenze e a trasmetterle, e tutto ciò senza tralasciare la capacità di assumere una certa responsabilità nei confronti della sorella minore.
