## Viel Kontakt mit der Zielsprache ermöglichen (S. 36)
Angeregt unterhalten sind die drei Kinder und die Spielgruppenleiterin miteinander. Schon eine ganze Weile treffen sich Philipp, Leon und Noelia regelmässig in der Spielgruppe. Obwohl zu Hause alle eine andere Sprache sprechen, verstehen sie sich mühelos in der gemeinsamen Umgebungssprache Deutsch. Die Spielgruppenleiterin gibt beim Betrachten der grossen Weltkarte viele sprachliche Inputs. Genauso wichtig ist aber, dass die Kinder Gelegenheit haben, die erworbenen sprachlichen Mittel selbst auszuprobieren und stetig weiterzuentwickeln. Die drei Kinder fühlen sich im vertrauten Zusammensein sichtlich wohl und bringen sich aktiv ins Gespräch ein.

Der regelmässige Kontakt mit der Umgebungssprache und das Zusammensein mit vertrauten Kindern und Erwachsenen ist eine wichtige Voraussetzung, um eine neue Sprache zu erwerben und sich darin nach und nach sicher und wohl zu fühlen. 

## Interaktionen an die einzelnen Kinder anpassen (S. 27)
Die Spielgruppenleiterin kennt die Kinder gut, und es gelingt ihr mühelos, sich an ihre individuellen sprachlichen Fähigkeiten anzupassen. So lässt sie ihnen genügend Zeit für ihre Redebeiträge, hört genau zu und spielt ihnen den Ball wieder zurück („Was macht denn ein ‚Dooner‘?“). Ihr Interesse am Gesagten signalisiert sie mit gezieltem Nachfragen („Denkst du?“) und passenden Kommentaren („Das ist aber super, wenn man im Wasser schwimmen und in der Luft fliegen kann.“). Sie will die Kinder verstehen und fragt so lange nach, bis sie sich sicher ist, dass alle vom Gleichen reden („Was ist das?“ „Ein ‚Dooner‘?“ „Was macht denn ein ‚Dooner‘?“ „Was macht er?“ „Ganz fest...?“). Bis dann die Erkenntnis da ist: „Aha, einen Donner meinst du. Von Blitz und Donner.“ Jetzt kann das Gespräch über Gewitter weitergehen. Ein Thema, welches von den Kindern eingebracht und von der Spielgruppenleiterin aktiv aufgegriffen wird. Auch auf der sprachlichen Ebene passt sich die Spielgruppenleiterin der Gruppe an: Sie nutzt für die Kinder gut verständliche Worte, bildet keine langen Schachtelsätze und verwendet Ausdrücke der Kinder weiter (Kind: „Nee, der Blitz.“ Leiterin: „Könnte dies ein Blitz sein?“). 

## Sprachliche Mittel anbieten und klären (S. 28)
Die Spielgruppenleiterin spricht lebhaft, untermalt das Gesagte mit Mimik und Gestik und erleichtert den Kindern dadurch das Verstehen. Ausserdem nutzt sie beim Kommunizieren verschiedene sprachliche Mittel: Sie umschreibt und benennt die Dinge („Sie sind flach und können schwimmen.“; „Das ist ein Zeppelin.“), kommentiert Aussagen der Kinder („Das ist aber super, wenn man im Wasser schwimmen und in der Luft fliegen kann.“) und fragt interessiert nach („Du meinst, das ist das Gewitter hier oben?“). Aussagen der Kinder greift sie auf und gibt diese im Gespräch korrekt wieder (Kind: „Nein, die können schwimmen. Aus dem Himmel und aus dem Wasser.“ Leiterin: „Denkst du? Weil diese solche Flügel haben können sie im Wasser schwimmen und auch fliegen?“ Kind: „Da oben und da unten aus dem Wasser.“ Leiterin: „Das ist super, wenn man im Wasser schwimmen und in der Luft fliegen kann.“). Im Zentrum steht aber nicht die Korrektheit der sprachlichen Formulierungen, sondern das Verstehen der kindlichen Gedankenwelt. So fühlen sich die Kinder ernst genommen und sind motiviert, sich mitzuteilen. Im regelmässigen Austausch mit kompetenten Sprachvorbildern werden sprachliche Unkorrektheiten immer weniger oft auftreten.


## Providing lots of opportunities for contact with the target language (p. 29)
The three children and the playgroup teacher are having a lively discussion with one another. Philipp, Leon and Noelia have already been meeting up regularly in the playgroup for a while now. Although all of them speak another language at home, they have no difficulty understanding each other in their joint ambient language of German. The playgroup teacher provides the children with considerable linguistic input while they are all looking at the large world map. However, it is equally important that children have the opportunity to try out the acquired linguistic material and to develop it continuously. The three children clearly feel at home in the familiar environment and take part actively in the discussion.

Regular contact with the ambient language and time together with familiar children and adults is an important prerequisite to acquiring a new language and to feeling increasingly secure and comfortable when speaking it. 

## Adapting interactions to individual children (p. 23)
The playgroup teacher knows the children well and is able to successfully adapt to their individual linguistic skills. In this way, she gives them sufficient time for their verbal contributions, listens carefully and then throws the ball back to them (“What does ‘a thunner’ do?”). She signals her interest in what is said with targeted questions (“You think so?”) and suitable comments (“Hey, that's cool if you can swim in the water if you can swim in the water and fly in the air”). She wants to understand the children and asks questions until she is sure that all of them are talking about the same thing (“What’s that?“; “A ‘thunner’?”; “What does a ‘thunner’ do?”; “What does it do?”; “Very strong...?”). Until she realises what they are actually talking about: “Aha, you meant thunder (‘Donner’). From thunder and lightning” Now the conversation on storms can continue: a topic which is introduced by the children and which is actively picked up by the playgroup teacher. The playgroup teacher also adjusts to the language level: she uses words that the children can understand well, she does not form any long-nested sentences and she reuses the children’s expressions (Child: “No, lightning!” Teacher: “Could this be lightning?”). 

## Offering new words and grammar and clarifying them (p. 24)
The playgroup teacher speaks animatedly and underscores what she says with facial expressions and gestures, thus making it easier for the children to understand her. She also uses different linguistic tools while she is communicating with them. She describes and names things (“They’re really flat and can swim”; “That's a zeppelin.”), comments on the children’s utterances (“Hey, that's cool if you can swim in the water if you can swim in the water and fly in the air”) and asks questions to show her interest (“You mean that’s the storm up there?”). She picks up on the children’s utterances and reproduces them correctly in the discussion (Child: “No, they can swim. From the sky and the water.” Teacher: “You think so? Because of their wings, they can swim in water and also fly?” Child: “Up there and down there in the water.” Teacher: ““Hey, that's cool if you can swim in the water if you can swim in the water and fly in the air”). However, the focus is not only on the correctness of the linguistic formulations but also on understanding the children’s thought processes. In this way, the children feel that they are being taken seriously and are motivated to communicate. Linguistic errors occur less and less often when children have regular contact with competent linguistic models.

## Favoriser le contact fréquent avec la langue cible (p. 36)
Les trois enfants et l’animatrice du groupe s’entretiennent vivement. Depuis quelque temps déjà, Philipp, Leon et Noelia se retrouvent régulièrement au groupe de jeu. Bien que chacun parle une langue différente à la maison, ils se comprennent parfaitement en allemand, la langue commune de leur environnement. L’animatrice du groupe apporte de nombreux éléments linguistiques lors de l’observation de la grande carte du monde. Mais il est également important qu’elle donne aux enfants l’opportunité de faire eux-mêmes usage de la langue et de continuer à développer leurs compétences linguistiques. Les trois enfants se sentent en confiance et participent de manière active à la discussion.

Le contact régulier avec la langue de leur environnement et le contact avec des enfants et des adultes familiers constituent une condition indispensable pour apprendre une nouvelle langue et se sentir à l’aise. 

## Adapter les interactions à chaque enfant (p. 27)
L’animatrice du groupe de jeu connaît bien les enfants et elle n’a aucune difficulté à s’adapter aux capacités linguistiques de chaque enfant. Elle leur laisse ainsi le temps de parler, elle les écoute attentivement, puis leur renvoie la balle (« Que fait un < tounnerre > ? »). Elle montre son intérêt pour ce qu’ils disent en posant des questions ciblées (« Tu crois? ») et en faisant des commentaires appropriés (« C’est super de pouvoir nager dans l’eau et voler dans les airs. »). Elle cherche à comprendre les enfants et pose autant de questions que nécessaire pour être sûre qu’ils parlent tous de la même chose (« C’est quoi, un < tounnerre > ? » ; « Que fait un < tounnerre > ? » ; « Il fait quoi ? » ; « Tout fort... ? »). Jusqu’à ce que les choses deviennent claires : « Ah, tu parles du tonnerre. L’éclair et le tonnerre. » Maintenant, ils peuvent continuer à parler de la tempête. Ce thème a été introduit par les enfants et activement repris par l’animatrice du groupe. Sur le plan linguistique aussi, l’animatrice s’adapte au groupe : elle emploie des mots que les enfants sont en mesure de comprendre, évite les phrases complexes et reprend les termes utilisés par les enfants (enfant : « Non, l’éclair. » ; animatrice : « C’est peut-être un éclair ? »). 

## Proposer et expliquer les outils linguistiques (p. 28)
L’animatrice du groupe parle de façon animée. Elle souligne ses mots par des mimiques et des gestes ce qui facilite la compréhension aux enfants. De plus, elle utilise différents outils linguistiques pour communiquer : elle décrit et nomme les choses (« Ils sont tout plats et peuvent nager. »; « C’est un dirigeable. »), elle commente les déclarations des enfants (« C’est super quand on peut nager dans l’eau et voler dans les airs. ») et pose des questions (« Tu veux dire que c’est un orage là-haut ? »). Elle reprend les affirmations des enfants et les réitère correctement dans la discussion (enfant : « Non, ils peuvent voler. Dans le ciel et dans l’eau. »; animatrice : « Tu crois ? Parce qu’ils ont ces ailes, ils peuvent nager dans l’eau et voler ? »; enfant : « En haut et en bas dans l’eau. » ; animatrice : « C’est super quand on peut nager dans l’eau et voler dans les airs. »). Toutefois, le plus important n'est pas la formulation correcte des phrases, mais bien la compréhension de la manière de penser des enfants. Ces derniers se sentent ainsi pris au sérieux et sont motivés à participer. Dans le cadre d’échanges réguliers avec des modèles linguistiques compétents, les erreurs de langue disparaîtront au fur et à mesure.

## Consentire molte opportunità di contatto con la lingua di destinazione (pag. 36)
I tre bambini e la responsabile del gruppo giochi conversano tra loro vivacemente. Philipp, Leon e Noelia frequentano regolarmente il gruppo di gioco già da un po’. Sebbene a casa parlino tutti un’altra lingua, si comprendono senza fatica in tedesco, la lingua locale comune. La responsabile del gruppo di gioco fornisce numerosi input linguistici osservando il grande planisfero. Altrettanto importante è però che i bambini abbiamo l’opportunità di sperimentare da soli e sviluppare continuamente i mezzi linguistici acquisiti. I tre bambini sono visibilmente a proprio agio in questo ambiente familiare e partecipano attivamente alla conversazione.

Il contatto regolare con la lingua locale e lo stare assieme con bambini e adulti conosciuti è un importante presupposto per imparare una nuova lingua e sentirsi via via più sicuri e a proprio agio. 

## Adeguare le interazioni ai singoli bambini (pag. 27)
La responsabile del gruppo di gioco conosce bene i bambini e non ha problemi ad adeguarsi alle loro capacità linguistiche individuali. Concede loro tempo a sufficienza per contribuire alla conversazione, li ascolta con attenzione e li asseconda (“Cosa fa un ‘trono’?“). Segnala il suo interesse per quanto detto con domande mirate (“Credi?”) e commenti adeguati (“Ma è fantastico se si può nuotare nell’acqua e volare in aria.”). Vuole capire i bambini e fa loro domande finché ha la certezza che tutti parlano della stessa cosa (“Cos’è?” “Un ‘trono’?” “Cosa fa un ‘trono’?” “Che fa?” “Forte...?”). Fino a quando ottiene l’informazione: “Ah, intendevi un tuono. Di lampi e tuoni.” Ora la conversazione può proseguire sui temporali. Un tema proposto dai bambini e accolto attivamente dalla responsabile del gruppo di gioco. La responsabile si adatta al gruppo anche a livello linguistico: utilizza parole facilmente comprensibili per i bambini, senza formulare periodi lunghi e complessi e ripetendo le espressioni dette dai bambini stessi (Bambino: “Noo, il lampo.” Responsabile: “È un lampo questo?”). 

## Offrire e chiarire i mezzi linguistici (pag. 28)
La responsabile del gruppo di gioco parla vivacemente, accompagna le frasi con la mimica e i gesti in modo da facilitare la comprensione ai bambini. Inoltre utilizza diversi mezzi linguistici per comunicare: descrive e nomina le cose (“Sono piatti e sanno nuotare.”; “È un dirigibile.”), commenta le frasi dei bambini (“Ma è fantastico se si può nuotare nell’acqua e volare in aria.”) e mostra il suo interesse con delle domande (“Pensi sia il temporale quassù?”). Riprende le affermazioni dei bambini e le ripete correttamente nella conversazione (Bambino: “No, sanno volare. Dal cielo e dall’acqua.” Responsabile: “Credi? Perché hanno ali del genere e possono nuotare nell’acqua e anche volare?” Bambino: “Lassù e laggiù dall’acqua.” Responsabile: “Ma è fantastico se si può nuotare nell’acqua e volare in aria.”). Al centro non vi è la correttezza delle formulazioni linguistiche, ma la comprensione delle idee del bambino. In questo modo i bambini si sentono presi sul serio e motivati a partecipare. Grazie allo scambio regolare con modelli linguistici competenti, le imprecisioni linguistiche andranno via via a scomparire.
